Don't go being all logical and ****, BvS117.

Ben will do fine as Batman, im more concerned by what purpose Batman serves in this movie.

I can see this purpose quite clearly.

Batman and Luthor. Both representatives of the heights humanity can reach. The inherent potential of every man, woman and child on the planet. One is destined to be Superman's most trusted ally in the fight against injustice and evil. The other will become his greatest nemesis. There is great material to be mined there. If I can see it, I'm sure a professional screen writer can as well.

^ You know what else I can see? Bruce caught in the middle. Lex and Superman will each be spouting their ideals at him and they each ask Bruce to join them in an attack against the other.

Cool. A Batman movie.

Not necessarily. Even if it's more focused on Superman (and we don't know what it is at this point), batman won't be a minor character and he should have an arc of his own.

People who think BvS is a Batman movie probably thought that Days of Future Past was more X4 and not First Class 2.

Damn I'm still pissed we will never get Singer's X3. Weaver as Emma Frost, Phoenix as a god, En Subbah Nur being worshipped in the end credits sequence. Damn you Fox.

But surely this film will not be as bad as Ratner's X3 (I know he was only a small part of the problem). Batman will Wolverine this project though. I can see it now: Superman and Batman are fighting for Lois's affection. Superman and J'onn are killed leaving Bruce as the leader of the JL with Diana running Young Justice to teach future metahumans to hone their abilities. :o

^Loca, frankly, to my ears you just described what a Bruce Timm/Paul Dini live action JL would be.

When Singer was first attached to the franchise he never wanted to do Apocalypse.

So you need to ask if it was worth having The Last Stand in order to gain First Class, Days of Future Past and a film with Apocalypse?

I honestly believe Apocalypse would have been inevitable, regardless of Singer's intentions.

Even still, Singer's The Last Stand probably wouldn't have led to First Class and Days of Future Past. So I still think it's worth it, to have probably the two best X-Men films and have a bit of a stinker.

Now Origins, there was no need for that colossal a turd.

No in that Superman would also be tossed around like a rag doll by Bruce. :o

So apparently Ben Affleck is at the Tigers/Red Soxs game today (with is trainer).

Photos from the twittersphere:

Looking very Wayne like in that first photo

Affleck looks good. If that's his Bruce Wayne hair, I am pleased.

Nice hair color he has there. Pretty much perfect for the movie I'd say.

He looks very good there. He actually could pass for an "in his prime" Batman, so I wonder just how old he is supposed to be in the movie.

I'd like to see Clark and Bruce enjoying baseball in one scene
