BvS Ben Affleck IS Batman - Part 25

The interviewer blew it. He didn't seem to know anything other than Nolan being an executive producer and Affleck being Batman, he asked no Superman questions, and seemed completely oblivious to the announcement of more DC films and WW's presence in the film. He could've gotten so much more out of Roven had he not wasted time getting information out of him that had already been made public.

That didn't bother me too much, since that's not where my interests lie at the moment. I wanted to have a better understanding of Bruce Wayne and some kind of news on the other superheroes in the film. I got that.

I'm thrilled there's going to be more sociable Bruce Wayne this time around. I felt the Paris Hilton/Kim Kardashian inspired persona in the Nolan trilogy did its job (mostly for laughs), but I think there's a lot to be done in terms of molding the public facade. Even if it isn't technically his "true" self, there is an importance to that role. Particularly in carrying out the reputation of a Wayne.

Great interview with Charles Roven about Affleck. Oh and Wonder Woman is the daughter of Zeus in Bvs. :-)

I really enjoyed listening to this. Thank you.

Some guy used the interview and the quotes to show his frustration and of course his hate :funny: only showing up when they can use something to attack the franchise.. must be one of the supporters of the dread thread.

For some I guess not. They need to keep trying even with the same tiring stuff.
It's their duty after all :o

I ****ing hate the dread thread. I guess it would be nice if those people actually stayed in that goddamn thread.

Sometimes they look for attention as we've seen few minutes ago... to see if anyone take the bait.

Batfleck is bigger than I thought.

Oh im sorry i didnt know MOS couldn't be questioned or criticized in any shape or form, and even less its future "sequels". Just stating the obvious, Batman will be the star of the next movie, if someone had any doubts at this point and the interview shows it again. I really don't care about this franchise (yeah 1 movie franchise with mediocre reception, and had to call out Batman to get some interest, way to start out ) , at this point they can do whatever they want with it , I just find it funny to think that someone still thinks this is a sequel to MOS

If it continues from the established story of Man of Steel, then I think it's a sequel.

I love how CBM's have changed our culture and cinema in general. I can't imagine 10 years ago ever seeing a serious interview about superheroes. This is the golden age for us. Goddamn beautiful.

Yawn, we have never read this before. Such insight!

Wild accusations are not the same as objective criticism.

So I had to update my ignore list because I have zero tolerance policy in these forums.

I can always tell the ones that I just don't want to listen to so I'm not even going to play the game anymore. The vast majority of critics aren't on my list but some are. When I believe that your intentions are less than noble, you go on the ignore list.

Well I agree with him. Batman will be the star. But I'm fine with that :hehe: BatGodfolife.

The problem with the 'dread thread' (changed to the skepticism thread) is that it was more, "Marvel vs DC" "The many things wrong with MOS" and "How DC needs to be like Marvel". There were legitimate skepticisms here and there but rarely. At least that's how it looked to me.

Yep. Geek culture is continuing to permeate pop culture in a way it never did years ago. It's nice.

What Batman characters do we have?

Oh yes. The focus is very clear here.

Yes, #BatGod4Life.

So almost every thread on this side of the forum? :o
