You forgot two more things to the equation: + Has worked with Bale before + less cinematic luggage + lower pricetag. :)

Beckinsale could be a great Catwoman, and she definately seems like someone that the producers would select.

Heh, yeah I knew the lips were a major difference. But then again, put any against Jolie and you'll see the same results. :p

Their cheekbones are similar though, you just can't see it in the pic. Both have very defined features. :up:
 
I get a very good Catwoman / Selina Kyle vibe from Beckinsale with the Underworld 2 poster. :)

Yeah, I got that as well. Though it would be nice if she could look like that all the time, as this is the first pic that made me think about her as a good candidate for the role.

I don't like Ricci as Catwoman AT ALL. Even Jolie seems like a better choice to me than her. She looks too young to be a love interest for Bale, and those big eyes of hers are a little too crazy looking for Catwoman.

Beckinsale is my top choice, and she seems like someone that Nolan and crew would actually consider.

Yea if burton was still director then Ricci would defitnely get the role :D
 
Angelina Jolie would be perfect for the role of Selina Kyle/Catwoman or Kate Beckinsale.
 
I voted for "Other" before. I wish I could change it to Kate Beckinsale!
 
i was undecided before, but in the past few months, i think beckinsale should definitely be catwoman.

Especially the scenes when she is on the phone. She has a quality in her voice that is needed for Selena. Mummy and Constantine shows she can do well in action. Stealing Beauty shows her sexier side.
 
I'm probably suggesting someone relatively unknown here, but from the first moment I saw her, I thought she'd be perfect for the Selina Kyle/Catwoman role. Her name is Alexa Davalos. A short history:

"The daughter of actress Elyssa Davalos, Alexa Davalos, a former France model, has appeared in such films as The Chronicles of Riddick (2004), And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself (2003, TV), and The Ghost of F. Scott Fitzgerald (2002). Her notable TV guest appearances including Angel and Undeclared. "

I saw her on Angel thrice playing the role of Gwen Raiden, a girl with a deadly touch, so much that she'd to wear elbow high gloves (and skin tight leather pants - very Catwoman-ish!). She also helped Angel infiltrate a facility, displaying a flexible body akin to Catherine Zeta Jones in Entrapment. She even delivers kicks and chops exactly like Catwoman! It's uncanny!

If Catwoman ever shows up in a future Bat-film it should be after Nolan's trilogy finishes up featuring Joker and Two-Face. By the time the 8th film comes around, it'll be around the year 2013-14 and these proposed candidates will be, for the most part, too old! We'll just have to wait a while. However,....if it were being cast today, I'd have to vote for Beckinsale...........she would be perfect. Jolie's huge, freaky lips would blow her secret identity the first time out!!

Well,....if she isn't concerned about hiding her true identity, then why does she bother to wear a mask/costume at all? As for Batman,.....I haven't followed the comics lately,...not sure as to whether or not he knows her true identity. Besides her distracting lips,...Jolie would be fine!!

She doesn't have a mask as concealing as Batman because her prime objective is stealth. She avoids being seen and if so, they don't get a good look at her face. let alone lips.

Batman has known who she is for awhile. He even revealed his identity to her in HUSH.

I actually think that she's better than alot of the big name choices like Beckinsale and Weisz.
