Chapter 7: "Out of Time" Discussion 11/5/07

Now we are seeing the biggest problem with Heroes. The story finally picks up after over a quarter of a season. We get a geniunely interesting episode with some pay off towards the end and a huge lead in for the next episode. But opps, the next episode isn't chronologically next and now they have to do a "four months ago" episode. Do we really need to know? Couldn't it have been pieced together what happened to Sylar and Peter through the season? Couldn't we have just assumed DL died from his gun shot wound?

Call me impatient all you want. The writers for this show are horrible at pacing a story line.

We'll also being seeing Elle and how she fits into all this, among other things.

At Last We're Back on track , Next week's episode looks freaking awesome .

So I might be a little late with this thought, but it suddenly occured to me tonight that if HRG gets shot, Claire might be able to heal him.

You need to get your head out of your ass Matt & stop spreading what you think is fact & that everyone agrees with you. Do us all a favor & stop watching this damn show.

You are way too sensitive to other people's opinions.

There are more subtle ways to deal with it than bringing the story line to a halt right as the show builds up momentum.

FINALLY they're done with Hiro & Peters time traveling adventures....lol

why are my two favorite characters going to die? :(
claires father AND nikki?!!...wth!

but yeah... awesome episode... CANT wait til next monday!

i hope to god the strike doesnt f'things up

Last season is was properly timed. It didn't interfere with the pacing of an already slow season. Paint it however you want, this is just bad story pacing.

Not to me, its all a matter of opinion as already stated so far back. Last season started us out with just as many questions and it took time to reveal and get the season going on a great pace. I dont mind how they are doing this season.

I'm also glad that "Save The Cheerleader, Save The World" seems like it may be a major plot point once more. Someone at IMDB said that the phrase defines the show, and I'm glad Claire's finding a purpose this season.

I seriously can't wait to find out what happened in those 4 months. I'm very curious.

So are we assume that after Adam fell of the ledge with Hiro's dad; that he just got up and walked away?

We dont know that for sure but we will find out next episode.

Ya I figured that but with the whole "how did DL die" im thinking there may be a slight twist.

Matt was also shot but he survived.

they're not gonna pull a "he had the virus" out of their asses. It'd make no sense. Sylar couldn't fire the bullets back as fast as a gun.

Matt: Complain complain complain even when the show is picking up.

Was that Angela Petrelli's power revealed at long last?

Um, do you ever not complain? I have not once seen you say anything positive about the show. Seriously, take a deep breath, realize the writers' intentions. I think it's quite cool how they build up tension and leave it as a cliffhanger. It's nothing new. It's worke din the past for various tv shows, movie, books, etc. It'll work now. Shut up.

I like this show and all, but I'm getting pissed at the blatant plagiarism in the storylines.

last year it was watchmen, this year is magneto's driving force in the x-men movies, what's next?

Oh crap! The paintings are coming true! West knows HRG is Claire's dad! Claire's standing up to Daddy now! She's the new cure for the virus! Hiro left Japan! He reunited with Ando! He knows his father's dead! Peter's remembering everything! Nathan knows he's alive! Catilin's stuck in the future! Mohinder's gonna shoot HRG! The virus is going to spread! Nikki's gonna die! DL returned briefly as an illusion! Maury's trapped in his own nightmare! Matt is awesome now! Molly's awake! Kensei is frickin' Adam Monroe! OMFG!

lol, sorry. This episode just blew away all the others this season. I'm too hyped up now.

I think another thing to take into account is however, how many of these "mysteries" do we really need spelled out for us. Season 1 had a lot of mystery and the answers were welcome. This time around, do we really need it? It seems to me a lot of these questions can be answered through plot and dialogue as the story moves along instead of going backwards.

Also, does anyone else realize that Peter's immortal? Most likely, anyway.
