Probably won't happen but i'd like them it to be set in the 70's. And for Reed and Sue to be together already, possibly with a young Franklin or Valeria.

Back In 2012 Avengers dominated may.Amazing Spider-man hit big In early july and 2 weeks later Dark Knight rises hit even bigger.

All fox has to do Is get FF out before batmna Vs SUperman.Ant-man has bigger trouble opening 2 weeks after BVS.Ant-man Is third tier character especilly when not with avengers.Disney had previews for the lone ranger all over the place yet that film still bombed. And how many years have wright been on this film?

Spider-Man > Fantastic Four.. C'Mon, Thats really reaching..

They could say "from the studio that brought you Avatar, Alien, Die Hard The Star Wars Saga, Titanic and hundreds of others" :funny:

The Wolverine made more than Captain America

By 5mil? taking in account

Star Power Hugh Jackman > Chris Evans?

who's more disappointed?

the watch the what CA:TWS does. Then we can talk

thats not what he said

It is what he said. He's saying that like the Spider-Man tentpole(Avengers and TDKR) the FF can achieve the same success in between Comic Book Films (A2 and BM vs SM). I could be wrong though being that the point was that TDKR was released 2 weeks after ASM.. but even still. With Jurassic and Assassins Creed there's still not much room for the FF assuming they can even start production by Dec (which they won't)

I never claimed FF would do Spider-man money. It can be a success In the time from june till Batman VS Superman opens.

With little promation The Wolverine made 240 million overseas. Both it and First class with no help from marvel/Disney made more overseas than Captain America.

Untill I hear more on what Is planned for avengers CA:WS Is only MS film of intrest to me.But Disney Is releasing in april and not summer, and Feige has described it as political thriller. That's not Iron man style film.

MS still hasn't released a film without Robert Downey JR that has hit 200 million domesticly.

The 70s is the most random period for Fantastic Four you could pick. Either you set it in the 60s or you set it in modern times. The 70s fits the FF as well as the X-Men and FF go together.

Some of the X-Men are in the 70's now. Plus it's closer to the 60s than present day.

I wasn't disputing the fact that some of the X-Men are in the 70s in XM: DOFP. I was saying that the 70s goes together with the FF about as well as trying to put the X-Men and FF together. They're just not something you typically associate at all with each other in either case.

When the reboot comes how would you like the four characterised?

I wouldn't mind seeing Reed to in his mid twenties. All scientist heroes in CBMs are usually in their thirties so it'd be good to see one a bit younger.

Ben should be like a big brother to Reed.

Sue and Reed being either together already or first getting together would be much better than getting back together (FF1)

Johnny should be confident and a little cocky, but most importantly likable and not *****y

Of all the people who should be older it should be Reed. Definitely don't want him in his mid twenties. It's not just about whether he's a genius so that gives him a ticket to being younger. It's also about life experience which he just wouldn't have as much as someone who is older. That is also part of what makes him a good leader and why people turn to him in addition to his intellect.

At the very least he should be mid 30s, but ideally in his 40s. He should be around the same age as RDJ and Ruffalo.

He is meant to be the elder statesman of the Marvel universe, and people turn to him for his wisdom as well as his genius. He's like an army general to others in that he commands a certain level of respect and reverence and people know he has proven himself hundreds of times over.

Definitely don't want anyone of the likes of Miles Teller or any Ultimate Reed crap.

If he were a bit younger, Bruce Greenwood would be absolutely ideal for Reed. He still would be good, but he's in his late 50s now and some might consider him too old for a franchise. Around the time of Thirteen Days (where he played JFK) or I-Robot would've been best. Apart from his look (which is pretty perfect for a classic Reed) he definitely had the right personality and gravitas as Captain Pike in Star Trek, and his attitude towards Chris Pine's brash young Captain Kirk is the kind you'd expect of Reed towards Johnny.

Greenwood is the type of actor one should seek for Reed, whether you actually get him or not. He's someone who immediately commands that respect and seems like you'd bring him in as an elder statesman or genius when things begin to get rough or you're out of your depth.

He's a great actor indeed.

If Jackson can be Fury then why not Crews as Grimm?

Crews should be Luke Cage!

I like him and I guess he would make a good Thing but I can hear the cries of "racism" all ready... at least there are less ripples with a black Grimm [he can still be Jewish] than there would would be with a black J. Storm [the entire brother/sister adoption or what ever issues].

Keep him for Cage.

Bc Jackson was clearly brought on to play the Ultimate version of the character which was based off his look. That casting made a lot of sense and wasn't random as Crews as Grimm would be. I guess it wouldn't matter much as he'd be in a suit after the origin bit of the movie, assuming they went that route

Nobody gave a crap about J before Will Smith played him. What's more, MIB changed a lot of other things from the comics besides the main character's pigment.

Didn't even know MiB was a comic till right now. I'm sure neither did most people that saw it
