Fantastic Four reborn! - Part 7

I think it's a relatively simple matter that FF fans are acutely aware of how Fox has treated the FF like a red-headed step-child in the past. Non FF fans just see Fox as a studio. When any story is featured on the main page, people who have limited interest in FF pop in and post, so that shifts the dynamic temporarily.

And

3. FF fans want to see a FF movie, don't care if it's connected to other movies or not and don't think of Fox (currently) as incapable of making it a good movie

We'll all I know is you can't have a Kirby era style FF reboot without Namor, Black Panther, Inhumans, ETC. I would more support a rebooted FF if it was their own universe and not tied to the X-Men or the MCU. It just limits their potential by not being tied to the MCU money machine but Fox can still make a good movie I guess.. It won't make money but they can make a good movie.. Good movies lose money all the time.. The FF reboot will just be another one of them..

Comics have proven to play no part in a movie's BO. Fox could care less if Marvel stops printing X-men books. It will have no bearing on the movie.

If the X-Men end up with a severly reduced presence in live action and animated tv, comics and merchandise - where will the new fans of the franchise be coming from?

They've reduced them in all those areas, except Comics. And those Comics still manage to be among the best-selling.

Face it X-Men is a big Marvel franchise, they used to be second only to Spider-Man. No matter how they try to kill it it has it's fans who'll continue to support it, atleast until they stop making comics of them, which shouldn't happen since they sell so well for the company.

It will make money. Not billions but a profit.

GA doesn't care if it takes place in the same world as other superheroes, they'll see it if they like the look of it.

why what happened to the old fans?

I want a FF film sooner rather than later.

I say people also ignoring how marvel studios adapted the avengers. It's more
the ultimates than 616.Yeah they do have some 616 elements but i say the avengers Is more the ultimates than Lee and Kirby Avengers.

Namor Is still at universal. And even then i doudt he would become villain and obsicale to reed and sue.

The black panther Is never going to be used In FF.When MS uses him It will be used for avengers.

You won't with the inhumans with medusa having backstory as villain or crystal involved with johnny or Quicksilver.

Back In 1980's i bought marvel saga which had partially reprinting of classic LeeKirby FF.In 1990's i bought reprins of John Byrne and bought the jim Lee FF as part of heroes reborn.Going around and saying who is true fan Is crazy.
Plus your crazy If you think any film Is determind by true fans of comics. The non comic book fans are those who loved Iron man 3.It's people who have read comics who were critical of iron man 3.

X-Mene comics will always sell as long as marvel sells them.

The GA doesn't care about the FF at all at this point.. Thats the point

IMO Marvel should just cut the Mutants (And the FF if Fox persists) off in their books. Those X-Men in the books are part of the overall Marvel Universe so those fans can't be compared to the fans of the movies anyway.. But take the books away and we can see what happens..

You just don't understand business. The goal is to make as much profit as you can not just a little profit.. If your gonna barely make then why make it?

exactly what I was thinking

I am doudtful the independance day sequel can be ready that quickly.

I don't think i said otherwise.

Why would they? There's no trailer, posters, teaser or anything, it's not even made yet. Advertising exists to get people interested.

Same applies to GOTG currently

So much wrong here i can't even...

And Fox are going to try and make as much profit as possible. In a business sense they'll make more money making the movie than giving away the rights.

This is absolutely the dumbest paragraph I have ever read. I think it's you who don't understand how businesses are run. Marvel still gets money from the Fox and Sony movies and it is a considerable amount. The goal of a business is to make as much money as they can while spending as little as possible. Fox making a FF movie allows Marvel to not spend little/any money while making a considerable amount back.
Fox is mot making these movies to piss off Marvel...they are making them with them.
and to suggest Marvel Comics stop making X-men or Spider-man or Fantastic Four books because you think it will hurt Sony or Fox???????

They grew up, got married, had kids, stopped going to the movies as frequently. Some died. Very sad.

Since X-men First Class??? It's only been 2 years.

I understand wanting the characters in the MCU.

I don't understand wanting the movie to fail if it does get made.

It won't magically give Disney the characters, and only goes to show those wishing that aren't fans of the characters. No fans would wish the eventual movie to be bad.

Im sure hope they do.. Then the FF profits will be crushed.. A2, BM vs SM, Ant Man, and more...

FOX Don't Do it... Don't jump in that water

The avengers will only dominate may.Come june there is opening before batman VS Superman opens july 17.Ant-man has to worry about Batman VS Superman.

Remember when people were sure Rise of the planet of the apes would be terrable and a failure:woot:

Disney through marvel hurting X-Men could hurt them In longtime.X-men comics
are big source of marvel publishing money. And what would happen If disney were to get X-Men film rights. They have been hurting the property.

Disagree.. Its the MCU!! You know how it's advertised. From the same studio that made the Avengers!!! Yada, Yada.. then Cha CHINg!!!!

Then don't

Not if it flops.. Then they'll lose money. which number is higher 0 or -3?

Business is also about taking risks. It could flop, but they'll do what they've been doing for decades to try to prevent that.

And GOTG has no interest from the GA right niw, same as Fantastic Four. Both need marketting to get people interested, no difference

But if you tear it town you can build it up.. But they aren't getting the X- right back.. Thats a given

Not the same.. FF in summer 2015 is a too crowded Super Hero movie space.. FF will be affected.. DOTPOTA is a whole different genre thats why if ID2 comes out then its not effected but another Comic Book movie??

Edit: And do you really think that the same month of Jurassic Park (World) is a window for the FF?? Thats the Blockbuster of the Month

While true what rings better in the long run for profit potential.. From the studio that made the Mega Blockbuster The Avengers (GOTG)?? or The Studio that brought you the Wolverine (FF)?? Not that The Wolverine was a bad movie it's just doesn't ring the same in the minds of the GA because they can't attach Mega Blockbuster to anything they've, Fox, has done Comic Book Movie wise.. Just saying

Back In 2012 Avengers dominated may.Amazing Spider-man hit big In early july and 2 weeks later Dark Knight rises hit even bigger.

All fox has to do Is get FF out before batmna Vs SUperman.Ant-man has bigger trouble opening 2 weeks after BVS.Ant-man Is third tier character especilly when not with avengers.Disney had previews for the lone ranger all over the place yet that film still bombed. And how many years have wright been on this film?

Considering how DOFP is poised to do a lot of money this summer they can say DOFP
