Another thing I was thinking maybe the shoulder thingg is just a blank slate/prototype body before they use more human biology/part/armor plating. That is something on what could be from viral.

Agreed. I never really took the "you'll be able to see his eyes" comments too seriously. I doubt they would go for that in the final product.

That comment should be taken very seriously. This is a very important creative choice, one that would decide how it'll allow the actor to convey emotions. Plans may have changed since then, but you can bet they've thought seriously about showing Robo's eyes through the helmet.

I agree, ED-209 doesn't look anything like one of Bay's Transformers.

But I do see a slight resemblance to an explosion.

I'd go as far to say Robocop is one the greatest movies ever made.

2 and 3 don't exist

I saw two not long ago....What a terrible film.

You have my sympathy. But please spare yourself of seeing 3, it will scar you for life!

What I hated most about of 2 was a lack of humanity in Robocop's story and characterization. It just skims over the things that were essential to him, his difficulty with coming to terms what he's become and the life he's left behind. The movie gets it over with in precisely 5 minutes, where you could of had it span for the entire movie if needed...and that movie seriously needed some good drama. It was just a huge joke.

And that Hob kid...the sick foul mouthed little ****

I can't believe people actually defend 2 and bash 3. 2 and 3 are equally bad.

2 is hilarious, though. It's probably my most quoted movie of all time. As for 3, it really is just a horrible movie all around. No redeeming factors to it at all. It's almost on the same scale as the live action Robocop series.

lol SO good! Robocop 2 is hilarious and alot of fun. 3 is painful to watch.

I don't mind RoboCop overall getting a redesign, but I wish they left his helmet intact or at least his eyes covered. Its one of the main reasons why the character worked so well.

I love RoboCop 2. It's a much better sequel than 3. Besides, RoboCop 2 trumps Ninja Bots.

Although, I'm not going to lie, I thought RoboCop using a jetpack was cool.

Yeah, there really where some hilarious oneliners in Robo 2. I love that scene in the end when Lewis is pissed off:


Lewis: That son of a ***** is getting away with it and we can't even touch him.

But I really have to rewatch both of these now. It must be almost 15 years since I last watched Robo 2.
