ok about the robocop rating.
we all know why Verhovens movies are violent. and we all know that no director is like Verhoven. so why should it be R rated?
Why not? I miss big bidget, R-rated, go-for-broke Hollywood spectacle so much. Just from reading the plot descriptions of this new Robocop, it already sounds R-rated (a torso with just a head and an arm? The murder of a child? ED-209 going too far?). To go PG-13 would feel like a safe cash grab (see: the 4th Die Hard. Or, like I did, don't see it and wait for the unrated version). Seriously, we have so much Hollywood history showing us that R-rated material can do gangbusters at the box office, so why the hell not?
