Now that's more like it! The only problem I had with the new suit was that it looked like a rubber suit. All black, but with matte surfaces mixed with a gloss fiberglass/metal are what I was hoping for and this fits the bill nicely. Looks much more badass and less Batman-ish. More cyborg and less man in suit. I like the biomechanical design details. I still think it's pretty ingenius how they made it look menacing and sleek with the visor up. The visor is the signature detail of Robocop and you don't even see it here yet it looks like a Robocop. Making the visor totally glass, giving more textural interest in a monochromatic suit is very future forward. I'm really interested to see if there are additional red light details in the visor and the shoulder like is hinted on the Omincorp site.

I love the suit now, I can see more detail. Before, I liked it but now I love it. I'm reserving my full critique until I see official stuff. Why is the hand there? and other questions I want answered. Like, if the hand is there "just because" then I'll have a problem with it. Wish I had the script. ugh. If the OmniCorp viral is what the finished product may look like, then I'm all for it.

The hand is there for a reason. Solidus explained the angle after the script leaked.

I think that the 1st suit pics may have been from an action sequence 'stunt suit' hence for filming safety reasons it may have been more rubbery. These pics seem to be from a more static scene and the suit may be a 'hero' version for close ups - hence the harder/glossier construction.

However I may be talking bollocks.

BUT I still dislike the exposed hand malarkey - I was so hoping that was a piece of costume removed so JK could smoke a tab... I love Robo 1&2 - I hope this doesn't turn out to be a bloodless, glossy piece of pap.

I wish too that they had stuck closer to the original colour sceheme of Botin's masterpiece.

Personally I'm only a fan of the first RoboCop movie. the sequels all suck imo.

Which is why I hope this movie will revive the concept for me and be the second good RoboCop movie.

I imagine the face intially looks more human to give a more human touch to Robocop and to let people know that he's still "human" underneath all the nuts and bolts. But, maybe as it gets closer to the end of the film, Omnicorp decides that his human appearance isn't that important, and they decide to go with a more synthetic human skin.

That's just a theory, though. Solidus probably knows about this better than I do since he's read the script.

Yeah. It shows off the different textures it has. However, I have to say, it still looks more like a suit than a robot body.
