RoboCop Reboot - Part 3

A part of me wishes going to theater and seeing trailers for the first time was still commonplace for me, the Internet has spoiled that. But I have cable and don't watch TV and yet still know most of what's coming out hehe.

With the cost of ticket prices and the sheer amount of movies coming out every year I think it would be silly to go into a movie blind nowadays. But I do envy the people that can do it successfully. Reminds me of seeing movies when I was a kid

I watched the original again yesterday, it's been a long time. I think the satire will work for the remake like it did for the original, but the lack of blood and good ol' cursing is gonna be disappointing.

I've managed to go into the theater without seeing trailers for several movies. Though I see many when I do, I don't get the chance to see movies in the theater all that frequently right now so typically I end up catching those on Netflix later in the year so the next time I go, new trailers for new movies.

I've managed to avoid seeing trailers for The Wolverine which I'm planning to go see today if I have the chance. I saw Pacific Rim yesterday and liked most of those trailers. Although I couldn't help noticing the vast majority of movies playing were PG-13 as opposed to PG or R.

I wonder if they are gonna offer any figures of the new Robo? I have at least 6 versions of him in figure form from the original films and would not mind a new version of him to join his 'bros'.

Toys are coming

That stupid exposed hand throws off the entire figure IMO.

Plus the multiple Robocop version are confirmed. The black suit is the 3.0 suit

Damn, the 1.0 looks the best. And yeah, that hand is odd looking. I like the gun, though.

1.0 is the one I wish they went with for the whole film, though these figures look rad I'll probably end up getting a few.

Yeah 1.0 looks great. It's a shame they're not using it the whole film

sad that the 1.0 and 2.0 versions of the suit look better than the 3.0 version

I think that 3.0 just looks like a guy in a suit like Iron Man rather than a human head on a robot body...at least going by the toy pics. They really need to release some official images. I mean Comic Con wouldve been perfect.

Add the red visor to the 1.0 and that wouldve been great

I hope the bare hand is lost during the film. I don't know, but it doesn't look right. Maybe its something to get use to, but that's like me trying to tolerate seeing it until the film gets to have it removed so I don't have to.

Spoiler alert for hand:

[blackout]In the film, its revealed that its a robotic hand, made to look and feel human.[/blackout]

...Umm...

Why?

That just seems dumb. Like if this was real, and they didn't know this was a cyborg, the main thing people would point out would be "hey, he's wearing this armored suit, but why not the right hand? Did someone made a bet or something? Seems really stupid."

Because in the film

[BLACKOUT]The government won't allow robots to operate on US soil because they lack human judgement in life/death situations. They "keep" his weapon hand human so that RoboCop falls within the confines of the law[/BLACKOUT]

I would imagine his face would do it more than his hand, but whatever....

Or, you know, his brain. Because that's kind of where the decision to pull the trigger comes from. Just.. throwing that out there

Of course, but it seems the loophole is geared more towards the aesthetic than one of actual function, otherwise, I don't know why they would give him a robot hand that looks human just for that.

But again, I find the whole hand thing stupid. Like you said, the brain makes much more sense.

Honestly the only thing I'm looking forward to is Michael Keaton. Haven't seen him go big bad since Desperate Measures. Absolutely nothing else has caught my attention so far
