Haha. The fabric is a bit too wrinkly for my tastes and I'm not a huge fan of how the cowl looks there, 'tis all. It's not a bad attempt for a manip, but I'd expect whatever they've cooked up will look less...Halloween-ish, even if it's based on a bullet proof fabric concept.

And just for the record realism isn't even a factor here for me, I just want the Bat-suit to look cool like anyone else. But tastes will always vary, if we saw 5 of the concepts that they were choosing from and all of them were based on a fabric look, people would still have their own preferences.

Thought I'd get in on the fun and do my own take on CosBlade's/BattleAngel's Manip - great work by the way! I did some changes to the cowl, torso, utility belt, and shading in general. I think it's a damn good design guys - not sure if my changes helped it at all, but thought I'd do my part to try

Good job combining them, but I just dont like the way the chest and abs look kind of crumpled and loose. That's why in my manip I put in the more form-fitting/armored-looking chestplate and abs area. From purely a viewer perspective, I really do like this design a lot, especially the cowl...probably my favorite group of practical-looking manips so far imaging the new suit so far IMO. I sure hope the actual suit is along these lines.

I'm sure I'll have nits to pic, but all I've really wanted was something that was 75% of the way to what I'd really like to see. More and more it sounds like we'll get that.

That'd be code for "It's not my detail to give away; all I can say is that every Bat-fan will love it. We've never seen this suit on screen before. And this is a suit that's iconic. So take from that what you will. Meantime, if you catch Matt Damon on his AMA, he might have more details.

But the only words I've exchanged with Ben about the Batman role have been via email. I blew him up when I saw the suit and wrote "Zack showed me you in the suit. I've got the vapors. He wrote back "You saw it?! I haven't even seen the pictures yet! How's it look?" I replied "**** you and take all my money. a) Perfect suit. Every fan will love. b) You ARE Batman! c) Can I be Penguin?" Still waiting on a reply. He hasn't said no...

The part about "Every Bat-fan will love it" is doubtful...I think how the batsuit looks is one of if not the most polarizing issue on this forum.

At this stage, I'll be absolutely shocked -not to mention disappointed- if we don't finally get something much more faithful to the comics.

Comic book movies have a prestige now that they didn't have in 1989, or even 2005. Enough with the sub-Burton black bodysuit.

Needlessly dismissive? Probably. But I have to say that I absolutely agree with him, we haven't had a really great Batsuit yet, some of them were pretty cool but prevented the actor from turning their head, and were afraid of colors that weren't black, and when they finally trumped the head turning issue we got a costume that looked like a jigsaw puzzle.
