The problem with that dock part is the lack of mystery.

I disagree. There was mystery surrounding the suit and the symbol that Bruce had created.

You had no idea what the suit was going to look like. You'd only seen pieces up until that point.

It was an incredible way to reveal it.

Heck yea.....when I saw this. I was impressed and spooked by this. I do have a feeling most wouldn't like the old school looking Batman because the Nolan's version is in style.

Side note: D.P. I was trying to post this pic on here like you did but I was having troubling with it. What are the steps of doing it?

It's pretty simple dude. Just click the little mountain logo and paste the image link into the box. That should do the trick.

One of the things I loved about Batman Begins were the scenes told from the perspective of the criminals and how Batman was like a horror monster.

The docks and the asylum scene especially.

I'd love to see someone make a short horror film using that 1939 costume and tell it from the perspective of a crook in the dark alleys of Gotham.

Tho not using the '39 costume.... Batman '89's opening rooftop scene is the best live action example of Batman's psychologic effect on Gotham's scum.

It was. Because the thugs were really scaring themselves by talking about him.

Man I am having such a hard time between the black & grey or blue & grey...

I think modern-day Batman is far scarier than the 1939 era Batman.

How??? The 1939 Batman kills vampires, shoots villains, lynches Hugo Strange's monsters, and smiles and laughs as Dr. Death was set on fire.
I am fan of the Golden Age Superman and Batman if you can tell.

The problem is that ball was dropped after that.

Even in a silly family guy cartoon, blue looks good. I don't get the strong dislike for it by some.

I wouldn't mind it if this were a solo movie, but I don't want both him and superman wearing blue.

I was hoping superman's suit would be a bit brighter blue this time, so there would still be contrast between that and batman's midnight blue.

^ I don't think it will be anything like the Clooney suit. I think Snyder will want to distance himself from past interpretations.

And now that I think about it, I'd really like to hear the rationale behind including nipples on the batsuit and those obvious codpieces/butt shots.

And why is that such a big deal? Wonder Woman will likely wear blue too.
I never said it was....
I'd be fine with it if that's what they decided to do.
It's just my preference that their differences as characters is emphasized..even by their costumes.

Maybe I start a thread having a debate on the likes and dislikes of Batman. I too don't get the dislike of the spooky Kane/Finger style from you and others. The blue doesn't say Batman to me nor it makes Batman into the creature of the night/Dark Knight. Having blue on Batman is like having bright yellow on Jason Voorhees. It makes no sense to me. This is why I am closer to 1939 era and Frank Miller's Batman.

The Bat-suits for that film were apparently reminiscent of old Roman battle armor which had the sculpted, muscular look of a male torso...including the nipples. The ass shots were because he's Schumacher.

Oh. Well, I guess I can see why they'd consider that concept, but it wasn't executed well. And is Schumacher known for gratuitous shots? I don't follow his work after the bat movie was so awful.

I'm sometimes blown away by the poor taste of some people in the film industry. I don't get whey no one would tell that team how horrible those suits were.

Then again, I don't understand how the TDK suit came to pass, either. Some people just have different and odd tastes I guess. :oldrazz:

I disagree, but to each his own I guess. And what do you mean by "spooky style?"
