Two more pics of the tech cowl

Three different cowls. Two suits. Two types of batarang. The best f***ing grapple gun I've ever seen. You spoil us, Snyder, you beautiful man.

I cant tell how that techy cowl works and why it has four eyes. I'm guessing things slide back and forth and stuff. In any case it's the coolest thing i've seen in years.

However i do agree with Sawyer who's saying that the normal batsuit looks cool in the promo shots but fat in the trailer and that EW cover. And Affleck has no neck which makes it even worse.

Finally, -and this is just a nitpick- how does he lift his robo legs? There is no connection between the top part of the robo suit and the legs. No servos to move the legs. And that thing looks like it weighs a ton. But it's no big deal that thing is awesome! Snyder's Batman looks decked out in comic book tech and preptime and all i can say is "it's about goddamn time!"

Everything in this movie is ****ing beautiful.

that grapple gun is the best ever.

and they are boomerangs. Which are usually the the size of your forearm.
Btw, has anyone else noticed the little speakers on the bottom of that mech cowl?

The first thing I thought of when I saw that helmet is this :

Maybe he uses that in the Batwing/Batmobile ?

I still like B89's grapple more. It's not bad, but it just looks a little too big. I actually think its my least favorite live-action version. Even Nolan's looked better.

I don't hate it though, just not my favorite.

This grapple looks big to the average human. It'll be small in Batfleck's hands. :hehe:

I dont like the grapple gun either. It looks like a handgun, more than any other he's had before. And he's supposed to hate the damn things. And i really dont think it fits well with the rest of his arsenal, like his stealth jet looking car and his suit of armor. Anyway at least he has one and he wont be using that rifle to shoot hooks like in TDKR.

Now if they could somehow confirm that he can also glide... because i cant imagine a batman that doesnt glide in this time and age. Not after Nolan and the Arkham games where gliding is the best mechanic in the game.

Oh no, Perry Yellow disapproves.

Yeah, I've noticed it doesn't seem to have the right joints to be a powersuit (like Iron Man's does)... but it HAS to be, looking like that.

I don't think it was a powersuit in DKR, just armour, but there's no way that's meant to be the case in the movie, surely.

Still looks cool though.

I don't know bout that. I mean it may look more like a gun than B89, but I can't say more than BB.

I think it sorta was, that scene in the cave when he is picking up the batmobile and talking to Alfred you see underneath the armor and it's all mechanized, sort of the the magic knee brace thingy in TDKRises

Yeah but...it's called a grapple GUN...and it fits in the HAND, of course it would be similar, it's the most practical way to build it imo

Just stating my opinion.

Good point, but i guess it's the wooden handle that really reminds me of Chill's gun from Begins and Jack's from B89.

True, true. It's just that previous grapple guns were more high tech and didnt look like your average revolver so much.

I'm floored by how much inspiration they've taken from the DKR battlesuit. I knew this was based on it, but they went so far as to put the boot spikes on. Nice.

Also, are people seriously whining that the "grappling gun" looks like a gun?

I love the little rusty part on the round..part of the grappling gun.

Btw guys, anyone still think that the armor could be made out of Zod's armor? I still think that would be a great way to make it's durability "believable"

I don't know, the armor seems used already, with signs of old battles. To me, it looks like he had had it for years already.

I can see how the wooden handle could throw some people, but it just looks more homemade than industrial like the others. I mean, even though Bruce is rich, I'm sure he made it with a hodge podge of parts and maybe found that the wood grip was just more comfortable. I may have liked it even more with a bit darker stain maybe, but I'm cool with it as is really.

How hi-tech should a grapple gun look?

It's a gun that shoots out something that grabs onto something else.
