I would love an updated light blue bat suit.

These games having great playability and looking really good aside, I must say that I don't really like approach to Batman and his universe in "Arkham" games. Especially in "Arkham Knight", Gotham is way too clean, neon-lit and modern as opposed to one I've grown to like through the comics and animated series. One that actually looks gothic for most part.

And I am not fond of, not just Batman's overuse of advanced technology, but overuse of it in general. I mean, how many doors need to have electrical lock that require hacking the computer to get in and such?

These are enjoyable and, in their own right, great games, but if someone would ask me to describe what a Batman game should be like, this would not be it.
I disagree. I like the way Arkham Knight mashes the old and the new in a ugly way - neon-lit dive bars next to crumbling gothic buildings. And of course, there's the New New York section of the city where a modern area is literally just paved over a low-rent neighborhood.

I just feel that now with the live action grey bodysuit, the emblem, the cowl, the boots, the gloves, are all changeable to make any type of Batsuit the fans would want. Dark blue? Done. Longer ears? Done. Smaller chest symbol? Done.

A long eared Batman would be my dream come true :)

Well, I am glad that you like it. And though I can understand the general idea behind it, I am not a fan of all the neon.

Yeah, the rain-soaked neon lit streets has a great neo-noir (neon-oir) aesthetic.

As a huge fan of "Blade Runner" and neo-noir in general, I do like how the city looks on its own. It's just not what I expect and prefer for Gotham to look like, that is all.

Not sure if its been mentioned, but it looks like those Batarangs that someone showed us months ago turned out to be true. They look identical to the ones used for the toys.

Yup, it has. If I recall correctly, I was a bit of an ass to the guy.

Eh, life goes on...

It was impossible to get very excited about the shape of a batarang, whether you believed the guy or not. I personally still don't care.

That is true.

I guess I would prefer something a bit more aerodynamic, but in the end it is just a batarang - a bat-shaped shuriken and we've seen dozens of differently shaped ones by now.

Post more Neal Adams Batman instead.

Not Neal Adams, but how about this picture of Batfleck from 15 years ago?

Resemblance is indeed uncanny.

And am I the only one around here who really likes DC's "toilet seat" logo?

:funny: "Toilet seat" logo? Is that its nickname? I don't mind it but I also like the 77-05 and 05-12 logos.

I often heard people refer to it by that name, yeah. :woot:

I like the old school 77-05 logo, but I am not overly fond of 05-12 one. Out of the three I like it the least, as it looks a bit too generic to me.

As it is very hot here and I am slightly drunk and very lazy, can someone remind me how and why "Detective Comics" became the dominant trading name for the whole umbrella of DC/AC/Batman/Superman/etc output?

That's exactly how I feel as well.

No, I like it. I liked the last one better, though.

Jim Aparo illustrated the cover for that issue. I've often said that Affleck closely resembles the late artist's take on Bruce Wayne.

This one, right?:

I don't know... I don't hate it, but it always reminded me a bit of those NBA team logos. It is a bit too generic for my liking.

I think that current, "toilet seat" one is more easily recognizable and it looks especially good when they add some texture to it, like this:

Yeah I don't care for the shooting star logo. I do like bullet and the new one, though. It took me awhile to get on board with it, but I think it's got a good look.

I think the new logo is a lot more stylish and "pretty". I like it.
