I disagree. I like the way Arkham Knight mashes the old and the new in a ugly way - neon-lit dive bars next to crumbling gothic buildings. And of course, there's the New New York section of the city where a modern area is literally just paved over a low-rent neighborhood. These games having great playability and looking really good aside, I must say that I don't really like approach to Batman and his universe in "Arkham" games. Especially in "Arkham Knight", Gotham is way too clean, neon-lit and modern as opposed to one I've grown to like through the comics and animated series. One that actually looks gothic for most part.
And I am not fond of, not just Batman's overuse of advanced technology, but overuse of it in general. I mean, how many doors need to have electrical lock that require hacking the computer to get in and such?
These are enjoyable and, in their own right, great games, but if someone would ask me to describe what a Batman game should be like, this would not be it.
I just feel that now with the live action grey bodysuit, the emblem, the cowl, the boots, the gloves, are all changeable to make any type of Batsuit the fans would want. Dark blue? Done. Longer ears? Done. Smaller chest symbol? Done.

I like the neon. It adds a certain "pop" to the city.
Post more Neal Adams Batman instead. It was impossible to get very excited about the shape of a batarang, whether you believed the guy or not. I personally still don't care.
Not Neal Adams, but how about this picture of Batfleck from 15 years ago?

"Toilet seat" logo? Is that its nickname? I don't mind it but I also like the 77-05 and 05-12 logos."Toilet seat" logo? Is that its nickname? I don't mind it but I also like the 77-05 and 05-12 logos.
t:That is true.
I guess I would prefer something a bit more aerodynamic, but in the end it is just a batarang - a bat-shaped shuriken and we've seen dozens of differently shaped ones by now.
Resemblance is indeed uncanny.
And am I the only one around here who really likes DC's "toilet seat" logo?

No, I like it. I liked the last one better, though.
