Reeves called him General, and also Zod at different times.

It used to be in fashion to call each other by last names back in HS.

Military I think use rank mostly, with or without the last name... (correct me if wrong).

I know what they were trying to do but...

no biggie of course, just a peeve.

And again, I am only speaking for traditions sake and to be true to the comic. I may be wrong but I had never seen or heard Jor-El or Kal-El being referred to with only part of the name until MOS.

No argument that EL may be their family name, but

My point was that in the comics and Donner Superman, They say or wright the entire name as one. Jorel. Kalel.

Although there are more often referred to by their full names, there have been instances in both the comics and, I think, other media where they have been addressed by their first names (usually by friends and family). Wonder Woman, for example, has referred to Superman as "Kal" on several occasions.

I think it makes perfect sense for Jor-El to refer to his son as simply "Kal", and for Lara (almost never Lara-El) to refer to her husband as "Jor".

Which to me sounds much more alien then Jor or Kal They don't break it up like they do in MOS. I just think it sounds better and more alien as Jorel and Kalel.

Fair enough. Personally, I don't care either way.

It's not like we really need it so much now, as we have had a good look at the Batsuit from all angles. Puzzling why it hasn't been released, though. I am even more keen to see the image described by Kevin Smith, posed on a rooftop with Superman in the background.

Preferably some where Bats is wearing his normal suit. Getting pretty tired of the armored one myself.

I like that they've held off on giving us clear, head-on views of Batman in his regular suit thus far in the trailers. Adds to his mystery and leaves us wanting more.
