The same white lenses vs. no white lenses discussion between some of the same people like couple of weeks ago. It's indeed a knightmare.

The eye makeup doesn't bother me. I just figured it was supposed to look like the area around his eyes was in shadow or something. Seeing as how they are. That mask casts a shadow over itself.

Yes and then you always have the third party pointing out how tyring it is. All 3 groups have exhausted this beyond crazy. Let's move on.

Oh my this thing has really gone off the rails, no? What with "Racoon eyes shouldn't just disappear" and "Affleck is overacting" and now back to ol white lenses. Can we just all shut up about this lenses s***? I mean lets just bask in the fact that this looks to be our most comic accurate batman to date and the fact that this movie looks very promising.

About the eye makeup...have any of you seen this?

Paint that requires an electrical input from the cowl to be black. When the electric input is disconnected it becomes transparent.

For people are really bothered by it, it's a nice way to explain it. It's certainly something that would fit in with the rest of Wayne's cutting edge technology.

That is really cool.

Right, I'll just post this quote here and I won't say who's is it. Read the bold part.

I don't know what to say folks, I mean.. what the actual **** ?

I just found out the hard way. Good ol' Grace Randolph.

I don't know what to say as well. So, let this GIF be my voice until I can find the words.

It slimmed Bale WAAAY down. The chest area is just straight down. No definition

He looked like a beast in "Begins"

I've always felt that Bale's build and the suit were clearly the best in Begins.

Granted, one of these Batmen is supposed to be at the beginning of their journey, and another is supposed to be seasoned... but whereas Bale (who looks fierce to be sure) looks like he feels obligated to be Batman (and certainly, they drive that point home at the end of TDKR), Batfleck looks like he's very comfortable being Batman and IS Batman and will be for life.

Batfleck vs TDK(R) Batman would likely end up very similar to Bane vs Bats in the sewer in TDKR.

Begins Batman vs Batfleck? Now that would be a big-ticket fight. I'd have to give it to Batfleck though...even if they're matched in strength and technique, the BvS suit looks like it gives so much more mobility and flexibility, which is an enormous advantage.

The great thing about the new suit is that, for the first time ever, the Batsuit looks like it's a great asset rather than a handicap for Bruce.

Also kind of had a meh reaction to the mask while it was in supes hand. Kind of reminded me of the fake batman's mask in the joker kidnap scene in TDK (best pic I could find, but you remember) and this was supposed to humorously look like crap to show how bogus that fat fake batman was

"Wake up, Claire, Jim's a troll. They're trolls! They're all trolls!"

I think this whole debate needs a break. If anyone would like to discuss the finer points of the utility belt or bat-undies or maybe his boots, please, be my guest.

Fair enough. I shall voice my dislikes about the suit! I don't like the thickness of the cowl, it makes Affleck's face look bigger than it is, which I am actually surprised at how slimmed down he has looked in the footage

So does this scene put to bed the idea that the "tech cowl" is the substructure of the regular one? Yes.

That is quite awesome.

Haha, you would think, but something tells me we haven't heard the last of that threory...

I'm really not sure but I think that's why he's able to turn his head.
I'm talking about some sort of framework molded inside the cowl, that could the reason why it is thicker in some parts and why it doesn't move at all when Affleck turns his head.

The suit is perfect in my opinion. I honestly don't see where we can go from here.

Other than minor adjustments (ala Supes from MOS to BvS), nowhere. I really hope they don't change the ear length or bat symbol, though.
I love the short ears and hope they're here to stay. Changing the bat symbol is ok for me, but keep it big and proud on his chest.

I love the ear length, but I hope we see an oval. I doubt it, though.

I believe you're right. The thickness of the cowl likely plays some role in allowing for better movement.

That's what's most important. Thanks, in part, to the painstaking efforts of Michael Wilkinson, he can finally turn his neck, and he looks great on film! Sure, the aforementioned thickness doesn't translate as well to magazine covers -- but, in light of such a groundbreaking achievement, I consider that a very small price to pay.
