No, my "problem" was that it's way too early to be passing judgement on a suit we have one promo pic and 2 seconds of footage of.
But that one promo pic and 2 seconds of footage is enough for you to say that the BP suit is superior to the batsuit?
Is more material somehow needed to form a negative opinion than what's required for a positive one?

You're doing exactly what you're whining about other people doing. :funny:

I like both suits. I'm fine with bat's body being a hulking beast in some iterations.

Same here. And we've never got that iteration in live action before, so I'm looking forward to it.

Yup. Definitely the most powerful, intimidating Batman so far.

Like most mannequins I would assume, the ones displayed at SDCC depict human anatomy in a near-flawless state. With natural human forms, however, physical flaws of any kind are clearly more visible to the naked eye. As such, I find it a bit odd to compare a living, breathing man in a costume -- one specifically designed to allow its wearer a certain degree of comfort therein, not to mention the ability to turn his head from side to side w/ ease -- to an inanimate model in a costume that is bound by no such constraints.

Exactly.

Come on you know they could have stream-lined the suit for Ben if they wanted to. Look at the difference in display of the Comic-Con model and the in-movie suit as displayed in its case on the other page. It's a lot of bulkier even when Ben's not in it.

I'll say it again I like the overall suit design I just don't agree with Snyder's decision to try and emulate the bulky Frank Miller art style of Batman. It's a look that's not particularly flattering on paper and in live-action.

I hope a future director takes the suit and just trims it down more and it'd be almost perfect.

-edit-

Here's Cavil's MOS suit looking almost exactly the same in model display and on the actor

I wouldn't say "a lot" -- at most, it's moderately bulkier than the SDCC model. If the difference is as significant as you've postulated, however, one has to wonder what the reason could be for the lack of congruence between both costumes; and I'll reiterate that, for me at least, there isn't a huge disparity.

Fair enough.

The suit/statue proportions really aren't that far from the actual build of Affleck. The only differences is that Affleck fills the suit out more, giving it more depth than on the statue. And the fact that Affleck's head is wider than that statue.... which clearly isn't an exact likeness to Affleck, in size or sculpt.

There's also the fact that the statue is posed in a hero stance, giving a different look than Affleck or the stuntman in set photo or screencap.

And of course...... these are statues. Just meant to be a visual representation of the character and (moreso) the costumes. Not what the actors look like in them. Because even the Superman statue isn't 100% accurate to Henry's build:

It's alot different when looking a statue than just the suit being displayed.

Not sure if I mentioned this before, but apart from the usual TDKR and "HUSH" Batman, batfleck always reminded me of Detective Comics #800 (War Games epilogue) one. Especially the cowl:

Am I the only one who thinks there's something off about the Hot Toys Batman? I felt this way about the MOS Superman one too.

It's the material of the suit. It looks cheap compared to the real one. Normally Hot Toys are on point, but I think they couldn't figure out the right material for the suit, because it looks off.

And they shrinked down his shoulders while they were taking away his legs' definition. Suit sits sloppier than the Flash costume on that figure.

:hmr: watch this, the batman suit is too fat for me, but Superman looks great...

I was surprised because I saw the BvS Superman first and it certainly was an improvement over the MOS one. So, I assumed Batman's would be on point.

They made him look so shapeless...
