I am too. Maybe we'll get one soon, or at the next conference call. If the deal isn't already closed before then, that is.
well that's disappointing maybe we've been overestimating how fast the merger appears to be moving forward.
I guess if they've still got some countries they're working on, they don't want to count their chickens.
And if, for example, they're negotiating with Brazil and they're close and they expect to be approved within weeks, they can't really say that because that might jeopardize the ongoing negotiation.
I am surprised though that they didn't at least provide a list of the countries they're still working on.

Disney are already using the national geographic logo on their marketing. Interesting. since the deal hasn't closed yet.

Apparently at the earnings call: Bob Iger told reporters that he expects for the 21st Century Fox deal to close “meaningfully earlier” than June, their original estimate.
Doesn’t say much but it does tell me that things are progressing a lot quicker than anticipated for Disney. So I’m guessing early next year.
Here’s the recap of the entire earnings call in case anyone is curious.

Iger reports that Disney expects to cover the acquisition at their April investor conference, meaning they expect to have the deal closed before then.
They will hopefully be rebooted

Source?Not happening.
Source?
Yeaaaaaaaaa but we don’t know yet so
Until such time as Feige declares them not cannon, they're for all intent and purposes cannon. Hence the MCU easter eggs and mentions the show has. It's intended to be a MCU show. I think people can just kind of come to accept it or write their own head cannon. But either way, I don't see these shows every being rebooted. At best, a recast could occur. But again, I doubt this ever happens. If Feige wanted them, they wouldn't be on Netflix. That's just a fact.
The Netflix shows never fit to me imo. I don’t know why. They can reference the mcu all the time but they just never got to me
The shows being dark is essentially the solely reason of why these characters would be rebooted, so they have a tone that matches the overall MCU. Saying it won't happen because you don't like the idea isn't exactly a valid argument. Only people at Disney knows for certain what's going to happen. Thing is, two shows have already been cancelled. This could mean Heroes for Hire or something else. But taking into account that Netflix wants to build their own universe with their own superheroes, I don't see Marvel's properties continuing there for much longer. I'm not saying they'll be rebooted, though. Disney may intend to transfer those shows to Hulu in the future.Don't need one. Feige clearly has no intention of covering dark material in the films. Otherwise the shows would not exist at all. They're not going to be rebooted. That is just some fan wishful thinking because Daredevil never was on screen with Spider-Man. They're not being rebooted.
Besides, Daredevil is being done right on Netflix. Him shaking hands with Spider-Man in a reboot that is more jokey in tone won't be better. Spoiler alert.
Also, I don't get how this logic works. If Feige wanted them, they wouldn't be on Netflix. That's just a fact.
