I would imagine that there would be a bit with Fox explaining the existence of such a craft if they included it in the film.

I'm not speaking on how it was created, I'm talking about how Bruce got a hold of it from Morocco or wherever the Pit was located.

Autopilot. :)

Lol, the same amount of nitpicks and complaints will have been made though.

TDK was technically Nolan's best made movie out of the Bat trilogy, but after it ended I was not really looking forward to the sequel, I thought that if he continues the same style, then he has lost focus on the Hero of the trilogy, TDK also was less emotional than Batman Begins, it was almost as if a different director had made it.

So, I was completely surprised by TDKR, I was not really prepared for this take on Bruce Wayne as I expected something in in line with TDK.

In the end, each movie stands on its own, each looks and feels different and that is, in a way the strength of this trilogy.

Yep. Love how Bruce/Batman were the main focus again like he was in BB.

Joker and Dent stole the show in TDK.

^ I have it on my Droid but haven't read it all yet. Does it explain how Bruce escaped?

Nope. It says (along the lines of)

He escaped. Now it was time to get back to gotham, and to save the city.

I F'n love that scene. It really showed how direct and no nonsense Bane is as a villain. Even though I knew Gordon wasn't going to get killed, the music and atmosphere really made me feel uncomfortable and worried that he was in that kind of a vulnerable situation.

The way he just walks over to his henchman and blows him away, and then walks back over to where he was previously standing to continue reading Gordon's letter spoke volumes. And the look Barsad gives Bane, you just know this guy is an entirely different beast than The Joker.

That scene was right up there as my favourite Bane scene, along with the sewer sequence. He seemed dangerous. The matter of fact way in which he spoke. Dispatching that guy with ease and then killing the other like he said he would. He was bare chested, but it felt like a knife wouldn't do anything. He had a presence in this scene, and it was very foreboding to think he'd face off against Batman soon.

Am I the only one who doesn't feel that way? Who thinks Bruce was just as prominent in the story, and Bale was very underrated next to scene stealing Heath?

I was just as immersed in Bruce's conflict in TDK as I was with the Joker and Dent. He provided so many of the subtle emotional moments. For example one of my favorites was in the final scene with Two Face, Gordon, and Gordon's family.

Batman: "What happened to Rachel wasn't chance. We decided to act. We three"
Dent: "Then why was it me who was the only one who lost everything?"
Batman: ".....it wasn't"

The quiet way Batman said that, the look of pain in his face. He lost Rachel, too. He wants to share his pain with Dent. Let him know he's not the only one who suffered, but he can't.

It was the nuanced moments like these from Bale that fare not always appreciated.

Bane was truly scary in that scene, yet charismatic. And yeah, it was very foreboding to know this guy would be going up against Batman later on. It's actually one of my favorite scenes in the film period.

Just like TDK, you had a great prologue scene introducing the villain, but then another great follow-up scene to cement their personality and status as uber-baddies.

I :hrt: Bane

I'd have to say that I'm in agreement with anyone who said TDK was mostly about Joker and Dent. Didn't really feel anything that gave Bruce a strong enough prominence, or at least not like BB or TDKR. At least with those two films, I felt the character of Bruce really out shined every other character, but it did not feel like it with TDK.

While we have some differing issues with TDKR, as far as our appreciation for TDK goes - we are kindred spirits. Bale's unhinged Batman was off the charts in TDK. Completely underrated.

Anno, we are done professionally!

Another thing that makes Bale's Batman so interesting in TDK is how in the third act; it's really hard to root for him like in BB and especially TDKR - because of that damn sonar equipment. He becomes so cold and detached in the third act after Rachel dies and Dent becomes scarred. Bruce's actions become extremely questionable and you can't help but side with Lucius when he threatens to walk if Bruce doesn't destroy the machine after he does him this one favor.

I don't think it was so much about Bale's performance because like some have mentioned already, i thought Bale gave a great performance in TDK.

I believe it had more to do with what they gave Bale to do as Bruce in TDK that prevented him from really claiming that top spotlight.

TDKR really went back with the basics of really diving deep within Bruce's psyche and took the character to places that I've never seen him go in any live action format thus far and people couldn't help but feel bad for the guy on how his life was going from bad to worse and it made audiences root for the guy when he was still able to overcome all of that and succeed in the end, unlike Dent.

For me, Eckhart stole the show in TDK. I was very much into his character than anybody else. Plus, his story felt like the entire backbone to the entire movie.

I wasn't a fan of Bale's performance in TDK. I thought he did much better in BB and TDKR.
