Merry Christmas to our little group of regulars who come here to this thread.

To The Batman, one of my old school Hype buddies who still completes me!

Merry Christmas, Mr. J. You're a good guy, and on the Hype, that's harder and harder to come by these days.

Merry Christmas to our little group of regulars who come here to this thread.

To The Batman, one of my old school Hype buddies who still completes me! BatlobsterRises, for being one of the most mature and pleasant posters to talk to. Shauner for his undying passion to Nolan's TDK trilogy. Ryan for all our great chats about the Nolan Bat movies, and your awesome Batman collection you shared with me on Facebook. Travesty for being Travesty. Kane for the endless supply of brilliant gifs. Tacit Ronin for being a good pleasant contributor to the discussions. theShape for being a good debater and all around contributor. And anyone else whom comes by here from time to time to shoot the breeze.

What a great post..Thanks to you Mr. J for all those great talks and as mentioned above, thanks to all the great people who post on here and keep this thread alive and interesting.

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the thread
not a Hypester was arguing, not even theShape.
The forums were peaceful, and quiet as a ghost
in the hopes good ol' Nolan would soon leave a post.

We all grabbed our laptops and tucked in our beds
ready to beat a dead horse again and again.
Despite that we knew there would be no surprises
we still settled down to watch Dark Knight Rises.

As Shauner prepared to discuss the ending
Shikamaru came in and called it offending.
As he mocked Bruce's poor excuse of a vacation
BLR reminded him it was just one interpretation.

Right after that came some posts from The Joker,
along with The Batman's, and our cycle was over.
Since deep down we knew we were all pretty clever
we were wondering if we would really do this forever.

Then out of nowhere came a post from a new user
It was good ol' Nolan, and Charles Roven, his former producer!
We knew from his presence and lovely impression
that he was sent here to answer our questions.

He read through our comments and immediately took action,
He let us all know "You boys sure do have passion."
And then he announced, despite his busy time plan,
"I've never been prouder of directing Batman!"

And suddenly unity spread through the site
As Batfans rejoiced in love and delight.
He finally made sure that everyone would hear it,
"Merry Christmas to all, and to a trilogy that lives in spirit!"

Merry Christmas (and Happy Holidays) to all. :oldrazz:

That's the perfect representation of our little community that we've built in this thread!

What a thoughtful post, Joker. Merry Christmas to you and yours, too! Love that we all still get to hang out in here. It's been so nice to have an alternative to the overcrowded and chaotic thread that most Batman discussion takes place in these days.

And I'll add JackWhite to that list too, for being a super chill guy with good taste, who never loses his cool but isn't afraid to tell it like it is.

Thanks for the shout out, Batlobster. Merry Christmas to all you wonderful people. I haven't been posting much in this thread but I still try and visit and read posts every other day or so.

Ah, good old TDKR thread, haven't been here in a while.

It's nice to see that despite all the heated arguments and debates back in the day, there's an air of mutual respect permeating this board now, both among the posters who are still around, as well as respect towards Nolan's trilogy. Happy Holidays, guys. :joker:

I'm going to quote this post in its entirety instead of spoiler tagging it, since it's one of the best posts I've seen around here.

Now, to contribute something to this thread as well. All the discussion on BvS and MoS on the previous pages got me thinking on my opinions on the latter myself - I'm still rather torn on it; there's some things I really enjoyed - Cavill's really likeable as Clark/Supes, but is unfortunately not given anything really meaty to do in terms of the character; I really like Russel Crowe's and Michael Shannon's respective turns as Jor-El and Zod. I liked that they delved into Kryptonian society to the extent that they did, gave the whole thing an air of something which hadn't been done before on screen, which was promising. I liked the angle they went with for Clark growing up and what he represented for the world on the whole - first contact.

Still, there's something amiss in the movie - it's like they didn't want to have too many character moments with Cavill's Supes because they weren't really sure how to handle the character. Having never read a Superman comic in my life, I'm not really sure either, but it just left the movie sorely lacking when there were a lot of promising things explored in it IMO. And then, of course, instead of actually making MoS 2 so as to directly build upon the first MoS, they go ahead and greenlight BvS. It comes off as rather messy, but I'll still follow what they come up with.

I'm quoting it, just in case you guys missed it.

Guys, check this out. The is the best tribute i've seen to this trilogy. I literally cried by the end! :funny: Maybe it was just me, but it's the perfect video for this thread.

[YT]?v=ci6mwf6IPDA[/YT]

The guy who put this together GETS the emotion of this trilogy and what Nolan was trying to do.

To me, Burton's films were about fun and imagination, Nolans was about heart/emotion as well as the mechanics. I feel like the new ones will be more about action, fighting and comic book aesthetics.

Wow, I think this is my first time seeing that TDK Trilogy tribute video. And I thought I've already seen all the good ones. That was truly amazing and extremely well done.

I actually watched BB just before Christmas. Haven't seen the entire trilogy in about a year. Begins felt so fresh having not seen it in quite some time.

He just made that video a few weeks ago. It's pretty new.

Oh, OK. I was wondering how I missed something that good.

Wow, that is definitely the best tribute vid I've seen so far. Thanks for sharing shauner.

"Imagine the Fire"= life.
