I see. curiously, what about you've seen of the game won you over?

Its existence, more or less. I mean, I think every Platinum game has been, at the very least, incredibly interesting, and the director's track record is legend.

word. I think the director or someone attached to the project said the game has potential to be the "game of all time"

I don't think many pc gamers would bother with it if you had to pay. But goes to show how console gamers are treated like 2nd class (captive) consumers. I don't mind paying one annual fee but I don't want to pay multiple.

it wouldnt have made sense. People would just skip over it and continue to do their gaming via Steam. The last time MS tried to charge for online gaming on PC, it didnt work out too well for them

Yep.

I really hope a good number of companies do cross-buy support. I'd consider going digital (can't imagine they'd do it for physical copies) if I can get both X1 & pc version for the price of one.

Yeah, I know all this, I just wish Live was free

At least now you get games with it. Good games even, unlike with another company.

I am surprised Nintendo hasn't jumped on that bandwagon, really. Then again that would require giving things away for "free". Nintendo is like the Disney of gaming.

The funny thing is that PC gamers, or at least those who pay MMORPG's are used to paying a monthly fee which I always found exorbitant.

I get tons of free games from Nintendo, and their online is free. I love Nintendo.

Seriously.. I have no problem paying online if the service is good. It's been what? 10 years.. It's legit a non-issue. Live is the best most stable online service. PSN is a joke IMHO.. always down or laggy and truth be told it should still be free and Nintendo is.. Well.. Passable I guess. But it's antiquated.

I've lost track Thunder. Do you still have an X1?

Are the free games limited per month or are they still available whenever? Like let's say MS releases a free game in April,Can I download that game in May/afterwards or was Apil the only one time free period?

Nope. You have a limited window to get them. Once that window's gone, it's gone for good.

Same with PS Plus. Though with the 360 you actually get two games a month, but you only get one at a time.

Over the last 6 months, Xbox Live has had more outages than PSN. Live has taken a substantial hit this gen. Also sony gives you much better games with PS+.

For the X1, you basically have the two months to DL the game. If you miss it, you can't DL it anymore. With the 360, you only have 15 days to DL whatever free game they have.

The 360 one had my preferred system where you keep the game for life. Now on X1 you have to have an XBL live subscription for life to be able to access the collection whenever you want.

Not if you own a PS4. Unless you're some mobile games on a home console Indie loving hipster.

Xboners got Rayman Legends this month.

Hell, the 360 isn't doing bad either. Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite.

The PS3 got both those games a year ago.

The offerings on the PS4 and X1 are comparable. Your main gripe is that its mainly indies on the PS4, but thats what its primarily been with the X1 as well. 3 months ago the PS4 got Injustice: Ultimate Edition, so I dont think X1 getting Rayman Legends right now trumps them. Overall Id give the edge to the PS4 as it gets 2-4 games a month

I think X1 has been primarily indie games, which is fine to me, cause I love indie games.

Whats wrong with indie games? Also Rayman hasnt been good since the dreamcast
