Begins had the best humor of all the Nolan Batman films.

Actually sir, I was thinking of myself.

You plan on gassing yourself again, Mr. Wayne?

And you can borrow the Rolls if you like. Just bring it back with a full tank.

"You expecting to run into much gunfire in these caves?"

Dark comedy. Not a lot that most moviegoers will pick up on. I remember hearing that stuff in theaters. I felt like an idiot chuckling when no one else was or the ballroom/birthday party scene when Bruce pretends he is drunk, I was probably the only one who LOL'd.

Another film blog giving it a positive review: http://www.efilmcritic.com/review.php?movie=22735&reviewer=429 4/5.

Just curious, but I noticed nearly all, if not all of your blog reviews are positive. Is that because you're only posting positives or is everyone you find positive.

On the other subject, I love my boy and am excited for another one coming in September. Cameron's two and in love with superheroes. For some reason every superhero is called Iron Man, though, which is funny because he mostly plays w/ his Superman toys, making the whoosh sound as he flies them around. I wish I could take him tomorrow to see MOS, but he's too young for a movie and is not fond of sitting. He'll still wear a Superman shirt like mom and dad.

TDK, I think.

Everything with the Joker (obviously).

"I'm going to tell them the whole thing was your idea."

The blackmail scene.

Wayne pretending to fall asleep etc.

And yet not a single one of those made me laugh.

They don´t have to make you laugh to be humorous. There are different kinds of humor. If you wanna laugh out loud, you should seek a sitcom.

Alright guys, my girlfriend's cousin just got back from the theatre and she can't stop raving about it. Like, she cannot stop.

Here's what she's been saying:

The film is apparently divided into "sections" of action and story development. It goes sort of like this:

First Development ~20 minutes
First Action ~10 minutes
Second Development ~1 hour
Second Action ~1 hour

And she seems to think that the fact that the movie ended off with such a large amount of straight up action is souring views of the story development throughout the movie.

Nice that she likes it.

Surely development can also be conveyed through action? Just seeing beard Clark save people means he's the kind of guy who saves people. And with that spoiler at the end, that's a turning point for anyone.

What Humor exists in any of Nolan's Batman's? I keep reading where is the fun? Fun??? TDK is about an insane clown blowing up gotham and turning the DA into a scarred lunatic so all of Gotham will lose hope and self destruct.. Why is Superman not allowed to have a serious movie exactly?

The Joker character was "the fun" in TDK anytime he was on screen. He wasn't supposed to be amusing all the time but he was to me.

They're separate thoughts. That's why I started a new paragraph. The film is more complex, but not due to lack of humor

You may not have meant it in that way, but it has unfortunately become a very prevalent belief within the community.

I haven't watched the movie yet.

What do you mean by that spoiler (don't tell me what it is)? Is it something bad or good?

I've never seen Platt in anything before ZDT. I think the problem is he tried acting too much like what he thought a SEAL would act like (probably by mirroring some of the advisers for the movie). Mimicry rarely works. It comes off fake. Unless you're Daniel Day Lewis :oldrazz:

He made me crack up in the movie "The 5 Year Engagement" .... very charismatic and funny guy.

I do tend to post positive reviews to offset the negativity. However, I would say that about 3/4 reviews from BLOGS tend to be positive.

And this is from an average joe: http://my.spill.hollywood.com/profiles/blogs/man-of-steel-movie-review

Just go see the bleepin' film, would ya?! Or in the very least, wait until you can afford to... I feel like the people that are desperately wanting to be spoiled are the ones who are torn on whether to see a movie or not. It drives me nuts :cmad:

MoS deserves the money, IMO.

What?

I'm not asking for the spoiler (in fact I even said not to post it) but I'm just wondering whether or not it's a good thing or a bad thing. If I know then I'll be prepared for what's coming.

I'd rather not have this pull a Mass Effect 3 on me.

My wife and I loved it.. She said it made her want to cry and she's not a comic person. She said dc does adult movies and marvel us for kids

Well guys, it's been a long journey. I will be leaving to see Man Of Steel in just a few minutes. I can't believe the day has finally come. It's been fun speculating and absorbing all of the material that's been released over the past two years or so. From the promotion stuff, to the TRAILERS... it's been quite a ride. I have never, ever been more excited for a movie in my entire life. And while this last day or so of negative criticism from critics was wholly unexpected, it hasn't made a dent in my excitement one bit.

Not sure what time I'll be back but if I'm not back too late I'll let you guys know how I felt about it. To all the super fans about to do the same... congrats. We made it. Let's hope the film is everything we thought it would be.

Peace.

 Enjoy it!

Just purchased my tickets on Fandango for this Monday afternoon. Hope it rocks.

You get a new director and the visual style is going to suffer. It won't match up.

Oh my lord, huge problem. Won't match up. Sequels don't have to look the same as previous movies. :whatever:

I haven't seen it either.

Bad or good, it's up to the viewers... all else I'll say is it's been done before.

Just got out of the Wal Mart premier and holy cow! It was the best CBM to date. I loved TDK but Ledger carried that movie. Cavill was awesome and embodied everything I love about Superman. I thought Crowe and Shannon were terrific. Complaints about Lois are dumb. She was a major part of the movie and she and Clark had loads of chemistry.

See ya guys, I'm off to see MoS yet again :D I'm told it's going to be crowded tonight.
