Oh man, hahahahaha

This is really an awkward moment for DC. I still am somewhat shocked that the reaction to the movie was this bad. Even as an admitted skeptic, I would've figured the reception would be no worse than Man of Steel and most likely better considering the Batman factor. I don't think anyone saw this coming, except maybe Warner Brothers (like Drew McWeeny reported).

Please Suicide Squad be good.

This is exactly how I feel.

It's still a bit early to tell, but my theory of CBM's undergoing a "survival of the fittest" phase now that there's so many of them is becoming more and more true. This is the third year in a row when a subpar film featuring an iconic character underperformed at the box office compared to its more competently made films (first ASM relative to the other Marvel films, then the FF relative to Ant-Man, now this relative to Deadpool). This time it's even worse due to the novelty factor that comes with BvS, and it shows quality is the main factor that will drive BO numbers going forward.

In the end, fans benefit the most from this.

Rogue One looks awesome. JJ went out of his way to make everything look like the OT. But this feels like the originals while being totally different at the same time. I'm loving its aesthetic.

It's also a breath of fresh air after Snyder's CGI stuffed, washed out, grimdark palette.

Yup, that was a great special feature on the Ultimate Edition Blu ray set.

A shame they didn't pack that with more exclusives to make it worth the double dip, because the two things they did include- the retrospective documentary about the trilogy and that Nolan/Donner conversation were great.

Yeah it was a good choice.

I was just thinking about that batmobile chase, how dull and flashy it is. Everything is so quick and flashy that you can't take in the look of the new batmobile or the action. Even Gotham. I can't think of a single great city shot. Hopefully Affleck shoots in Detroit, so we can take in the city a little more.
