I wouldn't listen to any Man Of Steel podcast. Anything special about this one?

Somewhat, It's by the guy who makes these youtube videos:

I've listen to some of it because I like listening to opposing views, and as far as it goes this guy is very good at presenting why he thinks MOS and by extension the DCEU is good so far. Some of the explanations he offers click with me but other times I feel like he's pulling them right out of his ass.

Maybe in this alternate verse, Rachel was only Katie Holmes. Bruce being even more broken would make sense.

Maggie is only worth being a shut in. Katie is worth being a killer over.

Thanks Shape! Wow, so if they use this as canon, that means the fight club in Batman v Superman is owned by Black Mask! And finally a proper version of Oswald Cobblepot! Hopefully Ben looks at this stuff and puts these characters in his film.

I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually nod to infinite earths or something like it, to acknowledge in universe that the past film versions might've happened in some alternate reality but don't effect the DCCU as it is now.

Hah, speaking of the multiverse, saw this posted elsewhere:

WB needs to first show they can make a competent film, post Nolan, before they start trying to pay homage to infinite earths and multiple villains.

Nah, it's just like them to run a marathon before they can stand on two legs.

Correct. But doing something like that would get people talking, get people interested.

Bale looked fine in TDK. Built enough where you could believe this Bruce Wayne could throw down, yet a little less jacked where you could see the stress of being Batman would start to take a toll.

Although I think his build in TDKR was the best of both BB/TDK.

Honestly, BvS Batman left a bad taste in my mouth too. I'm happy to see Affleck already getting a shot under another director, but there's also a part of me that fears he won't be much different from his BvS counterpart.

Yes, it is true. I dug the new Suicide Squad trailer but I did wince a little when I saw Affleck's Batman. In the back of my mind, "Oh now that a-hole is going to ruin our fun here too?"

Not the kind of reaction that we should be having.

If it's true that the events of this film take place after BvS, then we can assume he stopped being a meathead in this flick. Right?

At least SS takes place after BvS. I didn't initially realize that.

So hopefully we'll have reformed, back to 'normal' Batman here.
