I like Spider-Man 3. The campy/comedic stuff people complain about is pretty Raimi to me. Franco is great and so the gifs.
Me too.Spider-Man 3 freakin' broke my heart, lol.
Even if Spidey is done justice in Civil War I'm still not holding my breath on the solo film.
She's not Asian.Rumors of Peter's best friend being an Asian character for the sake of being "PC" doesn't sit well with me. Even the rumored John Hughes tone has me a little concerned.
It was Stan's idea?Raimi basically gave you Stan Lee's version of the symbiote story... and I rather enjoyed it.
I actually think a John Hughes tone would be perfect for Spidey. It's when we get into Venom and Carnage, that's where the tone needs to shift a bit.Spider-Man 3 freakin' broke my heart, lol.

Why would Spidey have ethnic friends anyways? Where does he think he lives in, Queens, NY? Lol.
I am so jazzed for Civil War. I do feel bad for DC/Warner, though. They're probably about to get clowned even more next month. But they did bring it all on themselves by putting all their chips on Snyder.
Domestically? So Batman v Superman will make less than Man of Steel, what a joke.
It should have beenI don't feel bad for them either. They were just being impatient and greedy to catch up to Marvel, instead of doing their franchise the smart way and establishing the heroes in their own movies before putting them together.
They made Batman active for close to 20 years during the events of MOS even though it was never planned and we never see the batsignal go off in that movie (cmon, Lex saw the bat symbol form in the sky from a rooftop in the sequel)
Domestically?
Internationally it made more, according to wikipedia.
Thats why I suggested recasting Bale, Ledger, Caine, Oldman, JGL, Hathaway with Affleck, Leto, Irons, Simmons etc. Build it slow. Bale could have done 3 movies and it would have lasted 4 years. We all know Hathaway, JGL, Oldman would have done it in a heartbeat. Not so sure about Freeman or Caine, but you can always limit them to short appearances or even write off their characters as retired/moved out of Gotham. I always thought you can keep the trilogy as a thing for solo batman films, and use Bale's Batman in cross-overs only (Batman vs Superman, Justice League Part 1 & 2). Use the trilogy as the foundation for the DCEU. Instead, they put everything on Zack Snyder's vision, starting with Man of Steel. Even though his Batman is supposed to be active for 18 years before MOS happened. Stuck introducing a new Batman with 20 years of his career not seen or explained, instead of having origin stories for both before they even meet.I think they could've made the Bale thing work from a writing standpoint, if they did a more of a slow-burn thing where he doesn't immediately jump back into being Batman like shauner said.
But I think rebooting was probably the best option. Would Bale have really kept playing the character in this universe for another decade? Plus, then you're tied to his version's history which wouldn't really work with everything they're trying to do with Joker, Harley, etc. It just really has little benefit other than the initial shock-factor the more you think about it.
Again, I'm just really glad that Nolan's universe remains self-contained. Being a self-contained franchise with an ending is a precious rarity in today's cinematic day and age. Plus, Batfleck was the near-universally agreed upon best part of the movie.
