TDK is perfect to watch on Halloween for that matter.

His soul will be collected

why will your Halloween be bad?

My family is in very difficult financial situation. On Tuesday-Wednesday we must return the money we borrowed, but we don't have the whole sum. We also need to pay for stuff like water and electricity (we were unable to pay for this for months and my mother is afraid that our stuff could be arrested if we won't pay again). And we don't know where to get that money from (we even pawned our golden jewellery but we still don't have enough money). This whole thing is giving me literal migraines.

P.S. The comment above isn't a joke.

That's awful. I hope things get better for your family.

Edit: moved this post to the TDKR general discussion thread.

How's everybody doing? Anybody playing the Batman Telltale game?

I'm sticking away from Telltale games, they're just not made for me.

"When it comes to talking Batman, (or anything really) Kevin Conroy has never been one to hold back. He recently criticized Republican Presidential Nominee Donald Trump and also criticized Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, mainly because of Batman killing in the film:

“In the most recent live action movie, that seems to have been a line that was crossed and it’s not one I’m particularly comfortable with.”

He’s also criticized Christian Bale’s Batman voice, but at a recent panel we attended at Stan Lee’s LA Comic Con (that we will have full audio of shortly), Conroy was asked who his favorite live action Batman was, and he offered some high praise for Bale – but still isn’t a fan of his Batman voice:

“When I first heard they were going to have different actors, well I thought – that’s really weird. Why don’t they establish a franchise? Each actor brings such a different art to the character. It’s really fun. I think Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne was probably the best Bruce Wayne. I think the voice he used for Batman was bizarre. I think Ben Affleck – a lot of people gave him a lot of crap for getting cast. People on Twitter were going crazy about it and I said, “Wait a minute, wait a minute. Give him a chance.” I think he surprised a lot of people. He’s really wonderful. He does really well on both Batman and Bruce Wayne. So, I think it’s fun to see different actors what they do with it.”

He also revealed who he thought was the best Joker:

“Like Mark Hamill, I thought was “hands down” the most incredible Joker. But then we saw what Heath Ledger did, and wow this just a crazy amount of crazy. He’s not better than Mark but he’s just another kind of crazy, you know.”"

Conroy is right when he says Bale was the best Bruce Wayne. I highly doubt a cinematic Bruce Wayne will top Bale's.

I'm not sure I agree with him about Mark Hamill being the best overall, I won't put voice acting over the combination of physical and vocal performance.

Same here. Kind of weird when Conroy said he wasn't better than Mark, even though they're two totally different worlds.

There's probably some bias in his choice considering he's been working with Mark for over 25 years. But yes, I don't rate voice acting over actually bringing the character to life in live action on screen either. You just can't compare.

https://www.theguardian.com/film/20...o-villain-casey-affleck-ben-affleck-superhero

"Casey Affleck will star in the vigilante thriller “Villain,” based on a screenplay that he also wrote.

The movie is set in a city overrun with crime. Affleck’s character loses everything of meaning in his life when a brutal home invasion leaves his family dead and two bullets lodged in his head. He develops a unique power in the wake of his trauma — an ability to see into people’s pasts, presents, and futures — and goes on a mission of revenge to find the men who killed his family, and in the process clean up his city long overdue for justice.

But as his vigilante acts become more frequent and violent in nature, his arrival as the city’s hero may instead be the announcement of its most prolific villain."

Funnily enough, The Guardian thinks that this character looks like a satire on Batfleck.

It'll probably be better than Batfleck.

I love these polls that are weighted with thousands of votes. Gives a good consensus.

TDK voted best Batman movie by a hefty 61k. TDKR in second place with 11k votes. Now there's a kick in the ass to the Rises critics.

Bale again far in the lead as best Bruce Wayne.

Ledger slaughtering the poll again as best Joker.

Nice to see Caine stole the best Alfred poll. Though they should have included Alan Napier, too. And Burgess Meredith should have been in the Penguin poll.
