Whoops, sorry about the double posts
Anyway, it wasn't completely awful, but I I'm ready to ditch everything except Cavill and Gadot. I hated Ezra Miller's Flash. Aquaman was OK I guess? Cyborg was fine.
Steppy was...An action figure. When he stepped out of the Amazonian temple or whatever he literally looked like one!
The Bat-quips were fun but they diminished the character and having him involved in pretty much all the action sequences wasn't the smartest thing. 'Fleck doesn't have any presence as Batman here but I did love the first scene in Gotham.
This is not the epic Justice League we deserve. While I did geek out seeing all the heroes together at various points of the film, this film feels kind of small scale. There's plenty of action, but it's not terribly appealing. It also gets repetitive when you have three of your six characters super-punching the evil guy who in return punches them back. And the scale is just not there. The Avengers felt HUGE. The joke is that the Avengers film looked like TV, but this film FELT like TV, just a super big budget version of some bad show's season finale.
Not much of interest is done with the Flash's speed, he was actually kinda lame most of the time.
I do think the cast has a good chemistry, but at the same time, I would gladly recast Miller at the very least.
Seeing a Lantern was cool. Same goes for Deathstroke.
Should I even talk about the story?
Anyway, very mixed on this. It's "OK". It's a rather harmless film that has been tailored to get the audience to "like" these characters again and who knows if that's gonna work. I guess I'll see the film again when it comes out on Blu-Ray and we'll see how it holds up. Knowing WB, they might release a longer, slightly different version
