Chapter 7: "Out of Time" Discussion 11/5/07

The fact that it took Nikki so long to break through a wooden door was stupid.

Like someone else said Matt being able to trap his dad didn't make sense. Pops obviously has much more experience.
but how much experience does he have against another psychic? probably little. pretty easy to have your guard down when you think you're the only one with game.

And if it's against the son you feel guilty for because of abandoning him.

who? i thought that was tara reid...who also isn't attractive.

In real life, Tara Reid is attractive. I used to actually date her cousin, and I've seen her at family events. Tara's actually pretty nice in real life. She's definitely NOT the sharpest tool in the shed, but she is a decent person. The sad thing is that being around her, one actually feels sorry for her, because she's really not as intellectually gifted.

We don't know anything about the old group so it's impossible for me or anyone to say what experience he has against psychics.

in real life, she isn't attractive. it's personal taste, man.

it's a valid explanation to your question. i doubt it really needs to be dissected and analyzed.

That can be said about anything that has ever been discussed about the show...

Just wanted to say DAMN WOW episode was fanfriggintastic.

Now that thats out of the way I have a theory Elle is working for Adam not Bob as he is supposed to be the father of all the hero's and she called the person on the phone Dad, and her TV guide description said her parents could not handle her when her powers manifested and gave her to the company to raise.
So she could easily see Adam as her father and she sure does have his attitude when it comes to killing and how its ok since she is special.

Nice episode. Few episodes back I wished that Kensei's actor Anders wouldn't portray the notorious Adam, even if storywise it would make at least some sense. I like the actor, but like Grunberg, they can only portray themselves - feels like I'm almost watching Alias here, with the two of them making almost the same roles.

Grunberg owes alot to his best buddy J.J Abrams. He casts him in everyone one of his movies or tv shows.

He really is good. That switch to the Dark Side was excellent. And now he's convinced Peter - the strongest character - to join his side!

Oh, you really think Peter is gonna end up fighting with him? I can see it, Peter is an angry boy :csad:

Well, judging from how Adam acts towards Peter, it sounds like they were buddies before Pete got amnesia. It makes me think that they were in leagues together.

Save the cheerleader, Save the world..takes on a whole new meaning now..wow

Either that or he's lying to Peter, knowing that he can't remember.

Yeah, I thought that at the end of this episode, too.

Claire always seems to be at the center of all the madness, and the fate of the world always rests on her survival.

I really like the actor who plays Kensei/Adam

His british accent isn't as good as the guy who did spike in Buffy/Angel

Rumour has it Hiro is gonna go after Kensei/Adam and Peter is gonna protect him as he thinks his a good guy and the only capable of stoping the virus plague.

I'm not so sure, for two reasons:

A. His note sounded like they'd been working together for a while.
B. In next week's preview, we saw him meet Peter. "I'm Adam."

and on many occasions, the writers have said just that: don't overthink it.

I don't think it is overthinking something to say that a guy with lots more experience with his powers shouldn't be easily taken out by a novice.

Being an American, I really can't tell :csad:

It sounds a little bit stiff at times. Its quite good though. If he was a contempory character he would sound a little out of place because he talks very queens englishy which not many people talk like any more in england but it works in template his from a few centuries ago where it was normal to talk like that.
