Crowd Reports!!!

Oops. My friend said she fell to sleep. Lol. She said she is simple minded n can't handle the sci-fic.

GAH!!....I want to see it again dammit lol, but its freaking sold out till sometime next week, gonna try again on Monday :(

There were a good amount of people in my crowd, but they weren't very enthusiastic. Maybe because I went to a midday showing.

Chattanooga, TN

I arrived around 8:15 for the midnight showing on Thursday. A 7:00pm showing had been allowed so most of the people were already there viewing that. A large group of my friends came dressed as Batman, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Hawk Girl, Wonder Woman, Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Black Atom, and many more I can't remember.

Movie goers had a great time letting their kids take pictures with us. We did trivia giveaways to the audience and everyone had a great time. I would say our theater was 90% full, but it was showing on four or five screens that night as well.

We'll be doing it all over again this Saturday.
Hey I was there! Some of those costumes were actually pretty good! I liked the Deathstroke outfit and Black Canary's outfit. :cwink:

The crowd laughed at the 'he's kinda hot' line (dumb) and clapped at the end. Other than that complete silence.

At both my screenings, the crowd was very lively and reacted to all the right moments. They gave a standing ovation at the end for both.

I have been to two sold out shows. Laughter and applause throughout. People were loving it as they left. Loads of people with superman shirts on. The GA loves this movie as do most fans. People on this board love to spread hate but its ok because this movie is awesome and its going to bank

Just got back and loved it! With the reviews split I really didn't know what to think but I walked away very satisfied. The audience was like 98% full and they reacted to every funny part, which is funny as a lot of critics called it humorless and lacking fun yet the crowd caught appropiate moments and laughed at them. When it was over the crowd broke into applause which is the fourth time I have seen this happen in my area, the first was Dreamgirls, second was Avatar, and the third was Avengers. The only negative (for me) was that there really was too much action and I didn't feel that way until the final fight there were just too many "big" moments.

I'm shocked... This was epicness..... I want to see it again and again!!!

On a side note, nearly everyone erupted in laughter at the Gravity trailer. Did anyone else experience this? I saw that trailer online a few weeks back and I thought it made the movie look pretty intense. But after sitting in an audience where everyone laughed hysterically at it, I don't know if I can take it seriously, lol.

My 7 year old son laughed out loud at that trailer and caused a lot of other people to laugh. Now I know that other people thought it was hilarious when she went floating into outer space and it wasn't just my son being goofy.. lol

I actually thought that movie looked pretty sweet but everyone else in my theatre laughed at the final shot, which was admittedly kind of goofy, but I still want to see the movie. I think we're in the minority on that one though.

Saw the Walmart showing and then the midnight showing.....surprisingly the Walmart showing was quite packed. The midnight was about 98 percent full and got all the appropriate reaction at the right moments. Everyone clapped and stayed till the end of the credits for both. Lol someone shouted" this ain't marvel y'all" go home!" Lol

my crowd was mostly silent during the movie. You would get the occasional crying sound. Most of the Movie was gasping. My theater was like 85% to 90% full only the front row was empty. It was about the same amount of people that went to see The Dark Knight.

No mine to as well.....what did she say at the end?

It's funny. When Returns came out, critics initially liked it and the die hard old school fanboys swooned. Everyday fans and younger fanboys walked out of the theater appalled.

Now, it's the exact opposite. I've watched it twice now and both times fans left thinking it was awesome despite some critical whining. Whoever said Cavill's abs are better than his acting is a complete idiot.

My crowd last night at midnight was your typical midnight crowd. Bunch of Supes fans. Reacted to everything the movie wanted you to react to. Ovations throughout. It was pleasant.

I am a huge fan of the Donner films and I guess I am an "old foggy purist" but I really hate SR and had measured expectations for this film. The crowd reactions in the UA COURT ST. in downtown Brooklyn where I saw it this morning mirrored my own. Silent jaw dropping awe, laughter, tears and a loud applause at the end. This thing's gonna be huge.

I was on the Bluetights board because the Superherohype boards were completely overrun with negativity long before the movie even came out, but I remember initial reactions to SR being pretty positive on that board. It was only after awhile that the negativity started to trickle in and many people backpedaled (which really annoyed me, stick your guns people, if you enjoyed it you enjoyed it nothing wrong with that). I really hope the same doesn't happen to MOS, I really did enjoy it a lot more than SR despite some things that downright pissed me off. Although it wouldn't have taken much for me to enjoy it more than SR, all it had to do was not bore me and it wins.

That happens a lot...I saw Spider-Man 3 at midnight and the audience seemed to like it...came on to the boards and it seemed like people liked it. Sometime on Friday all of a sudden it seemed as if everyone hated it
