Ugh, my crowd was dead; no applause, no "Oooo's" or "Awww's."
Hey I was there! Some of those costumes were actually pretty good! I liked the Deathstroke outfit and Black Canary's outfit.Chattanooga, TN
I arrived around 8:15 for the midnight showing on Thursday. A 7:00pm showing had been allowed so most of the people were already there viewing that. A large group of my friends came dressed as Batman, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Hawk Girl, Wonder Woman, Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Black Atom, and many more I can't remember.
Movie goers had a great time letting their kids take pictures with us. We did trivia giveaways to the audience and everyone had a great time. I would say our theater was 90% full, but it was showing on four or five screens that night as well.
We'll be doing it all over again this Saturday.
At both my screenings, the crowd was very lively and reacted to all the right moments. They gave a standing ovation at the end for both.
a twilight girl maybe... wellOops. My friend said she fell to sleep. Lol. She said she is simple minded n can't handle the sci-fic.
On a side note, nearly everyone erupted in laughter at the Gravity trailer. Did anyone else experience this? I saw that trailer online a few weeks back and I thought it made the movie look pretty intense. But after sitting in an audience where everyone laughed hysterically at it, I don't know if I can take it seriously, lol.

I actually thought that movie looked pretty sweet but everyone else in my theatre laughed at the final shot, which was admittedly kind of goofy, but I still want to see the movie. I think we're in the minority on that one though.
Guys, how is this in IMAX 3D?
I've had bad experiences with regular 3D before, but love IMAX.
It's funny. When Returns came out, critics initially liked it and the die hard old school fanboys swooned. Everyday fans and younger fanboys walked out of the theater appalled.
Now, it's the exact opposite. I've watched it twice now and both times fans left thinking it was awesome despite some critical whining. Whoever said Cavill's abs are better than his acting is a complete idiot.
I was on the Bluetights board because the Superherohype boards were completely overrun with negativity long before the movie even came out, but I remember initial reactions to SR being pretty positive on that board. It was only after awhile that the negativity started to trickle in and many people backpedaled (which really annoyed me, stick your guns people, if you enjoyed it you enjoyed it nothing wrong with that). I really hope the same doesn't happen to MOS, I really did enjoy it a lot more than SR despite some things that downright pissed me off. Although it wouldn't have taken much for me to enjoy it more than SR, all it had to do was not bore me and it wins.
