Crowd Reports!!!

Saw it for the 6th time Thur. afternoon with a female friend in NYC from Stockholm, Sweden. Not a big genre fan, but she was into it. She enjoyed the intense action.

Saw it again last night (3rd time) and again there was DEAD silence in the tornado scene. Lots of laughs at the appropriate parts and when solider Farris said he's hot, this whole group of black girls (I'm black, chillax) started yelling "Damn sho is!" lol. Also there was dead silence when the scene of Johnathan was watching young Clark in the cape. As for the Zod finale, there was a lot of mumbling when it happened. All in all everyone was into just as if it was opening night.

Just got back from a 12:40 showing for the 6th time. Took my parents. Surprising, my mother loved it and my dad was all chill haha. There were about 20 people or so and again, laughed at all the parts necessary. My mom laughed many times and so did an older woman sitting next to me. They all stayed for after-credits, though (as did every audience I sat with.) No applause at the end, but very vocal and lots of whispers.

I remember when I saw it at the Walmart screening the whole theater laughed at Woodburn snitching on Lois on live TV
"And if he doesn't turn himself in maybe we should ask Lois lane, she knows who this guy is."

My mom got a kick out of that! I was surprised to see her catch the little things. She asked a lot of questions so I had to shhh her about 4 times lol.:word:

I'm glad she enjoyed it ! Every time I have seen the film, the audience was highly engrossed. Say what you will about the film but it's truly a crowd pleasing blockbuster.

Me too! My dad is more on the quiet side, and his first reaction once the credit hits were ":wow:..that...was different.." haha.

My mom is too funny, though. When Supes snapped Zod's neck, she says "Good, get 'rid of 'em!" I turned to her and whispered "That was the big spoiler I was telling you I knew about..Superman killed.."

Her response?

"Why isn't Superman allowed to kill?"
"Long story, mom...it's..just apart of his moral code.."
"Well, he had to. Good.."

lmao. She made it a good viewing for me:word:

Same thing happened when I saw the movie! :woot:

26 days since the release only one IMAX 3D is showing Man of Steel here in our country and thankfully it's the original 70mm IMAX, the other "LieMAX" is showing Despicable Me 2. Once Pacific Rim is released the movie is a goner until the hype dies down and they will release Man of Steel again like what they do with other movies before. :D

btw, watched the movie for the *not saying how many* at IMAX and it's still more than half full.

They will release again?? Really? But there are so many movies coming out weekly.

Cinema was about just under half full today but near in mind it's a circling day here and we don't get many plus it's nearing the end of its run, down to four showings a day solid say it will most likely be gone in two weeks here.

The crowd were into it today aswell especially some kids behind me

How dare you call MOS "The Greatest Comic Book Movie Of All-Time", BH/HHH.

:p

:oldrazz: I've had that in therefore week or two now you only just noticed? :woot:

It's the internet. I've seen it all. These things escape my mind. That and working at Best-Buy has been killing me. It's hard out here for a 16 year old. :p

Yup. I don't get why everyone on here seems so surprised.

Saw Man of Steel a second time. I never watch a movie at a cinema twice but this was an exception. There's still quite a big audience pull here. People laughed at all the right bits like "He's kinda hot"

Grey-haired woman was slumped over in her chair during the Zod fight. Seems like it exhausted her. Think she was expecting Chris Reeve and Margo Kidder.

You know what it is for me. The internet was a novelty when I was 16 I didn't have it then and wasn't aware of forums n such so I guess I'm taking my experiences for that reason.

Also for someone whose 16 you know your s**t!

Well, I pride myself on that.
