the side view reminds me of this
I think the profile of the visor looks more like Gatchaman or Silverhawks but mostly I think it looks rad.the side view reminds me of this

That what if scenario can be applied to many movies.
There is a chance of this movie being a success. Or not. It all depends on how the movie is made AND how it's going to be promoted. The later is very important. If the flick is good on i's own , then the big task will be to get the audience in the first weeks. Succeed with that , then WOM will help the movie

It's now a retractable visor giving him a face to show to the public.I hope that in the scenes where robo takes of the visor, we get to see something which is as shocking and well done as in the original when we see Murphy's face for the first time after he removes the helmet.
It really looked as if he was a part of that mechanical skull and neck. Perfect make-up effects.
The new movie has a lot of expectations to live up to. I for one hope that they meet and surpass them.

this is how he will look without the helmet in the movie? i thought he was without the helmet when they were on breaks. It's now a retractable visor giving him a face to show to the public.
Yes this is his look when the visor is retracted in the film. This is from his introduction to the public scene.this is how he will look without the helmet in the movie? i thought he was without the helmet when they were on breaks.
so the face will not weird/scary? it will look normal?
This Robocop is made to be public friendly.
-The exposed hand
-A non freakish appearance when his visor is retracted.
It's a shame because that was one of the most shocking things in the 87 movie

The air tubing and all the kibble and bits made the melding of human and machine more gruesome
Look at the detailing! I could actually believe that.
The 2013 movie seems "watered down" to me.
In the movie Robocop has to look friendly. Some of it is sadly bleeding through to the actual movie. We're living in a more PC world than the 80's.
Robocop 2013 isn't threatening. He's marketable. I wouldn't be surprised if this movie gets a PG-13 rating.
