Look how the rubber wrinkles and distorts when he walks. They are gonna really have to massage that thing in post to make it seem metal.

I remember in 2007 when we first saw the new Batman costume, people complained Batman looked like robocop. Now robocop looks like batman.

I kinda like the suit, just not sure about the exposed hand.

didnt noticed it. i am starting to think that they will do a similar CGI job like on iron man where they replaced only parts of the suit.

I think the new design looks fantastic. It's the color I hate. I would have preferred silver/metallic over black.

Do we know if the shots of Murphy with the visor removed is something that happens regularly in the film or are we just looking at part of the costume being removed for convenience during filming?

I hope it's just for convenience. Because if that is his look without the visor. It's a little disappointing, because he doesn't look the least bit creepy.

Robocop not looking creepy is kind of the point in this version.

but the ones who dont like the swat mode will still not like the swat mode durring the action scenes in the movie. correct or not?so what if they will like the social mode that is grey color? he will look black in the final act.

You don't know that though. Chances are the suit will look even BETTER in action. That was the consensus with the new Spider-man suit. That movie came out 3 months ago. How quick do people forget? And I repeat what I said before, it was Peter's performance that sold the original Robocop suit.

Let's be honest here, is there anything really that unique about Robocop's suit? I love his original look, but it isn't groundbreaking or different by any means. People consider it a "classic" based on its nostalgia factor. The new Robocop can really sell the suit based on his performance, and what the suit can actually do in the film.

So now we have the new suit being compared to Iron Man. Iron Man is like Robocop times 100 anyway, so it was going to be compared to him regardless. And Iron Man doesn't even have black armour! Do people think Robocop will look less like Iron Man if he's blue and grey instead? Come on lol.

So are we gonna get something like this in the movie? Some people said that Robocop's suit changes color in the new film.

And also, are they gonna try and top the scene of Murphy getting shot up? Or are they gonna try to be equal to it with their version? The only way I can see them topping that scene is if they have Murphy getting his limbs cut off by a chainsaw or by an axe or have him killed by some other type of torture.

I would just like to add how upset I was when the first Iron Man came out. I thought to myself, How are they ever going to do a new Robocop movie? Everyone (especially the new generation of people who never grew up with Robocop) are just going to think Robocop is a rip-off of Iron Man. I always knew this was the case.

Look at Thor. Some people are really excited for a new He-man movie/franchise. But most people now are just going to look at him and say He's just trying to be like Thor!

ARGH.

Yeah that's still the best design Ive seen. I don't have any major problem with it at all maybe take out a few red lights but that's it

I don't find that it looks cheap (the reboot head look, that is), I just find that it looks very perfect. When Robocop took off his helmet in the original, the appearance was important because it wasn't perfect. The rest of his body was very careful, deliberate--it was designed to look perfect. When he takes the helmet off, you see the reality--that it's anything but smooth and perfect. The the joining of man and machine is turbulent, ugly, and painful--not just physically.

That element isn't a part of the new design, which is a little off putting. That said, depending on the plot and themes of the remake, maybe they have a reason for that.

im talking beneath that... both story wise and aesthetically wise

A depiction of the ghost in the machine. Aesthetically, he is a cyborg. But story wise (and the best part of the original aside from the satire), Alex Murphy under the synthetic, cold robotic exterior is still human.
