May 4th for now on should be celebrated as May Day. The day Avengers killed the American box office. Let Universal, Sony, and Warner Bros cry this day for years to come.
As I told a certain debbie downer a month ago, while Battleship promised A spectacle, The Avengers delivered THE spectacle. It was a poor Transformers clone going up against something what Transformers should've been.
Considering the adjusted gross I think it can stay Star Wars day.![]()
Have you noticed that ol' Debbie has made himself scarce since May 4th? Haven't seen hide nor hair of him in these parts since The Avengers smashed the opening weekend record. Why, I wonder? I was certain that he was going to stick around for his serving of crow like any honorable Downer would.

Is Star Wars number 3 on the adjusted list?Considering the adjusted gross I think it can stay Star Wars day.![]()
The hardcore Dark Knight only fans must be bawling their eyes out right now. They are probably acting like total babies right now.
And i have only this to say to them:
FOR GOODNESS SAKE, STOP ACTING LIKE BABIES! ITS JUST A FRIGGING MOVIE!!!!!!!!
Anyhow the titanic target would be the highest possible realm it could reach, since somehow Avatar managed to weasel 750 million out of the general public with some nifty SFX and a remix of the ferngully story... Seriously no idea what anyone saw in that flick....
Is Star Wars number 3 on the adjusted list?
are Gone With The Wind and Titanic still numbers 1 and 2?
Star Wars is No.2
Here's the Top Ten...
1 Gone with the Wind
2 Star Wars
3 The Sound of Music
4 E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial
5 Titanic
6 The Ten Commandments
7 Jaws
8 Doctor Zhivago
9 The Exorcist
10 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

The Avengers has officially passed The Dark Knight for #3 of all time domestically, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 for #3 spot at the worldwide box office!
Amazing.
