Had an up-close look at the suits, and a few things I noticed:

1) Armor suit definitely goes over the regular batsuit. You can clearly see the 'normal' suit material within the open seams. Interesting way of doing it, makes me wonder the purpose of that.

2) No cape scallops on the armor suit

3) Very subtle scallops on the normal suit. To be fair it was all bunched up so it may be more obvious when the cape is open, but as is you can easily miss it.

4) Cape textures are incredibly raggedy and worn out at the bottom. Almost hilariously so, because the cape is pristine at the top and then gradually craps out as it reaches the floor. No idea if this is just the model version.

5) Only because it was such a huge talking point: bronze most certainly is evident in both knuckles and toes. Might even be on the spiked gauntlets, but admittedly it could have been the lighting playing tricks.

6) Batman's codpiece is bigger

Yeah I do remember that, maybe it's like what Nolan did and it's only present with the CGI cape (or as it's fully spread out).

On the model case version however, I looked at it from all angles and couldn't make out any curvature.

The Arkham games (and Nolan's films) have changed my view on gliding/flying. It's a sensible addition to his abilities. Plus it looks incredibly badass.

Agreed. It's also like Peter Parker having organic webs - it just seems like an incredibly obvious inclusion that most goes with their respective monikers. Now that it has become a staple, a batman who can't glide doesn't feel much like a bat man.

Probably because batman has glided in the films all my life. And my God do the arkham games make gliding so badass and a great means of movement that are among the most batman like thing ever portrayed.

This is probably my favorite shot of the display suit.

There are so many great shots that it's hard for me to decide on just one. I still need to get a proper look at Affleck himself in the costume, though, before I declare it the quintessence of live-action Batman suits.

Sorry I may have missed it but where is the chatter about the Tech Cowl? is it actually going to be in the film?

Thanks for the confirmation Jekecy. :o

So is the Tech Cowl what Bruce uses to operate his unmanned drones? That'd be cool if he could just put that thing on and fly his drones and batwing while he is back home in the Batcave chilling.

I'm sure y'all have seen this flip, yes?

The mask around the mouth needs to be thinner.

Here's a video of the suits at SDCC.

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! They even made WW look amazing and that's.... impossible!

Seriously, if Batfleck was a bit thinner like how the suit is here, he'd be perfect. And the robosuit is PERFECTION.

Yeah, I don't mind how Batfleck looks on film, but I agree that the statue has a pretty aesthetically pleasing build. Affleck didn't have to do all that working out - he could have just leaned down to say "The Town" size (or a bit smaller) and then they could have still used the built in muscles on the suit, but just leaner. I know they're going for a TDKR bulkier size though for the film.

I don't want to get my hopes up, but I REALLY want to the solo films to be prequels, with a thinner Batman (and a first appearance style cowl for part of the first movie).

Or mixed present day/flashback stories. Digitally de-aging Affleck for a few Bruce scenes and a tiny mouth area for batman wouldn't be that hard/expensive. I don't want to see Year One in full again, but I'd like 3 Solo movies featuring: Early Days, Early Prime and Late Prime, with Ben getting bigger and bigger with each one. He'd also start out more basic, like TV Daredevil, and get more slick and gadgety as time went on.

Yeah, and I'd really like to see a sort of "Year One" film set in the early 40s one day.

I'd like to see John Hamm as a period Batman. But he's getting a bit old for it. Maybe I should say I'd have liked to see season 1 Mad Men John Hamm as a Period Batman.

In my opinion they should have started at his 3rd or 4th year as Batman, the time where he adopted Robin. I might give Snyder crap for his storytelling abilities, but if someone could make Robin cool, it's him. And yes i want Robin to be a kid, because screw your realisms and your logic.

According to the article the movie will be a continuation from the events of BvS and JL....so no prequel

Which is the right move. Let's get this story moving forwards and create momentum.

Yeah but Johns has hinted that it will be inspired by his Earth One series, which is a very early days story. I guess it's too early to say at this point.

Yeah I really wish I could just see the whole Batman story play out with the same actor from the origin (or at least early years) right through to retirement. A 20-year franchise. That's why I'm somewhat disappointed that they've gone for an older Batman.

And yes, I'd love to see a real teenage Robin. The Daredevil show had some scenes with a very young Matt learning to fight with Stick, and I didn't feel it was silly at all - so a 14 Year Old Robin for me would be great.
