Lol. I don't think there's going to be any sort of reason for it. It's just to exaggerate Batman's alphamale-ness even further, along with big muscles. Snyder's got him bigger than Superman all over.

I don't see what's not to like. It's a candid photo between takes.

I love how the cape and cowl have a blueish hue under certain lighting. It compliments the grey wonderfully.

I love the blueish hue too. If the cape and cowl were indeed that color, it would really look nice and not jarring at all. Where I felt the blue color would look bad/odd if translated into this batsuit, is in the cowl. But in that first picture (if it were that blue) it really works and it looks great.

This suit is fantastic. And they've created a suit that can look black and gray or blue and gray or all black depending on the lighting. It's a thing of beauty.

Ha, I still think it looks great. It's definitely a better shot than the one that was on the cover.

Something is still off with the neck in the set-pics despite looking better than the other promo shots we've received.

There's just no flow between the head and the torso. The neck just seems too blocky.

Compare it to this Batman bust

You can see the natural break between head and upper torso.

Don't really care what looks off on the cowl. This suit is near perfect and is the closet thing to a comic-book batsuit yet. And we've seen it look amazing in action so I'm satisfied with it. The small amount of faults it might have don't bother me.

I don't know if I'm a "fatman" troll but I do think the face looks really puffy.

Ben affleck has puffy cheeks, especially while he was filming. People wonder why his face isn't more narrow like in The Town, and part of thd reason has to be the nature of aging. The cheecks accumulate fat as you get older.

While the mouth opening is a massive improvment over what he have had, I still feel like they should have made the bottom less rounded, it doesn't show off Ben's chin/jawline that well imo. I mean look at it!

Yeah, I wish they would let the entire jaw be free, but I don't know how practical that would be.

Ben is a hollywood actor though and he already looks good for his age. He just needed to cut a bit to bring out more of his facial definition. Hell Hugh Jackman's older than Ben and looks better now than 10 years ago.

I sort of expected to have seen a leaner Ben ala The Town

I agree. It's really a shame. Ever since the first Batman photo we saw, I was wondering if the cowl opening was a bit too narrow at the bottom. As it happens, it is.

I think it depends on how far in the filming the scene is. He was a bit more "puffy" when he jumped from "Gone Girl" into the BvS, only to get more cut later.

Agreed. I'm really digging the aesthetics of the movie so far. I hope we get a lot more of these dichotomous images, they're awesome.
