Anyone else curious what the purpose of the illuminated eye sections are for on the armoured Batsuit? Just for show, or do you think Bruce will have some kind of Iron Man-style visual interface?
And give more reasons for the stupid fanboys to compare Batman to Iron Man? No thankyou. :o jk I'm kidding

I could see him having an interface like that. I doubt that suit runs on nothing but Batmans own strength. It probably has some sort of mechanical system and weapons as well. So it would make sense for a heads up display to display damge done to the suit. Critical and weak areas. The power percentage of the suit and other important things.

I think that crazy looking tech cowl we seen in pictures a while back is what goes under his armored suit which will also illuminate his eyes.

Huh, I never saw any of those pics. Think you could find some?

Also, I'd have no problem it was only for show. It looks cool regardles.

Yeah, souperman, that foam rubber mask in Batman Returns was terrible . . . especially when we see in the first film that the suit is bullet proof! And in the 2nd film (Returns) Selina Kyle is able to stab through this bulletproof material with one of her claws!

In fairness though, Catwoman is searching around the torse looking for the weakest point, where as the thugs bullets presumably hit him square in the chest.

Don't forget the fact that it's Batman Returns and shouldn't be taken seriously ;)

Saw a pic on Twitter that confirms this. There are lenses that can shift over his eyes. I'll BRB and link to it. Someone else can post it then, since I can't figure out how to from this damn phone!

ETA Here it is...

That most definitely does not confirm it. It could be used for a number of things.

Light up eyes? Tech cowl with swivel lenses? That confirms it for me. YMMV.

Eh...

-The tech cowl isn't the same "style" as the armored suit cowl
-What lights up the tech cowl lenses?
-The lenses aren't the same shape
-I just can't picture the armored cowl with the lenses "retracted" and why would they need to retract anyway?
-We're supposed to believe that both Batman's regular cowl and the tech cowl fit within the armored cowl at the same time?
-And what about all those cables?

It seems to me that the tech cowl is used to control / interface with some tech. I could be wrong, but I'm not yet convinced it's part of the armored suit.

I really think the tech cowl is under the mech suit. It just makes the most sense to me.

I dig that it's articulated. This doesn't actually fit under the cowl, it's a prop to make you think it's an understructure/ exo skeleton/ armor. I get it, don't need to over rationalize it.

I feel like the tech cowl is for the batwing.

This. Also, the tech cowl is shaped like the normal cowl.

I hope so... I just have a fear we wont see Bats do much in the movie apart from fighting Supes.

No idea, but I think it's the same scene as this :

Oh, and don't forget the branded guy in that old house. We'll see plenty of Bat-action before the clash with Supes.

The trailers have confirmed Bats won't just be fighting Superman.

Thanks. I wonder what this is all about?

It's in the trailers. He is taking down some sort of operation. Possibly cartel or mafia or something of that nature. It might be part of the scene when he is blowing cars up with the batwing.
