The Official Lynn Collins/Silver Fox Discussion Thread

I'm pretty sure I've seen at least half of the movies Collins has been in and still I don't particulary remember her. So being unable to say much about her her acting talent, while not denying that she might have one, I'll have to base my guess regarding her on her facial features that, with proper make up added, do remind of a fox. :)

I've always wondered how spouses or significant others in the movie business handle the premiere of really crappy movies.

If 10,000 B.C. is as horrible as the word-of-mouth has been, how does Lynn Collins (a theatre-bred actress) actually sit thru something like that and say "Well done!" to her hubby afterwards?

Ah, love.........:woot:

"Hun, the movie sucked but you were great in it...and at least you got a nice paycheck."

I would never tell my wife or girlfriend she sucked in a movie she worked really hard on.

it's a bell curve. they want to keep pg-13 to get the most out of the audience. No need to isolate a group. Especially since at the end of the day, it's still a comic book character.

Just an FYI - according to a Steven Strait website, Steven and Lynn got married around Valentine's Day. She was with him in LA for the premiere of 10,000 B.C.

She's like seven years older than the guy... just unusual... then again... Demi Moore/Ashton Kutcher... I mean it doesn't get much worse than that...

Its very disapointin that they have decided to cast a white actress as Silver fox when the character is native american .There are so little super heroes of ethnicity to look up to. and this what they decide to do ignore her race .I hope native americans protest this !!!!!:cmad:

I deffinately understand exactly what you mean and I was defending her casting before but you are right it isn't fair that they cast her when there are so many other capible actors and actresess of Native American decent.

I'm sure there's a reason they chose her.

I'm just not sure what it is yet.

According to most accounts, Silver Fox lived with him in Canada at the dawn of the 20th century. She, a Native Canadian Blackfoot, and he, a frontiersman, enjoyed many happy times together.

Shame on them!!!

Silver Fox in Wolverine movie

Will there be an Indian in the upcoming Wolverine movie? Well, maybe.

Huston Joins Wolverine!

And is there word on Silver Fox? [T]hen there's the report that the role of Silver Fox has gone to neither Maggie Q nor Michelle Monaghan but Lynn Collins, a Texan actress who you might but probably won't remember as Mark Ruffalo's fiancee in 13 Going on 30. Or as Portia in the Al Pacino Merchant of Venice, or in multiple roles in The Number 23. Since Silver Fox is Native American (or rather Canadian) in the comics, Collins doesn't exactly look the part in the pictures we've seen, but perhaps she will by the time they're done--or possibly the character's backstory will be changed.

So good news on Huston, who's somewhat closer to Cox in type than Hall was. But what do y'all think about the Blob as a potential baddie, and Collins as a potential Silver Fox?Silver Fox's backstory: Silver Fox is a lover of Wolverine who first appeared in Wolverine vol.2 #10, where she is raped and apparently killed by Sabretooth. She is later revealed to be alive and a member of "Team X," the best covert ops team the CIA had to offer, and is one of a few female victims of the Weapon X project. Fox betrays Team X and becomes a member of HYDRA, a subversive terrorist organization. She is later, finally, killed by Sabretooth under the control of the telepathic Psi-Borg, and Wolverine buries her body outside the cabin they once lived in together.

According to most accounts, Silver Fox lived with him in Canada at the dawn of the 20th century. She, a Native Canadian Blackfoot, and he, a frontiersman, enjoyed many happy times together. Sabretooth killed her on Logan's birthday, ostensibly when she rejected his advances.Comment: Blue eyes...pert nose...full lips...yep, Silver Fox is your typical Indian princess/white-man fantasy figure.

Maybe they'll change Silver Fox's backstory, or maybe Collins will be the umpteenth non-Indian to play a stereotypical Indian woman as sex object.

Lynn Collins on Being the Silver Fox to Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in ‘X-Men: Origins’
Published by Rick Marshall on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 2:57 pm.

Actress Lynn Collins recently told MTV News that playing Marvel mutant Silver Fox in the upcoming “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” not only allowed her to embrace her Native American roots, but also brought her very close to star Hugh Jackman.

“We’re lovers,” said Collins of her character’s relationship to Wolverine.

In Marvel Comics history, Silver Fox was a former love of Wolverine, and the pair lived together in the Canadian wilderness during the late-1900s before a series of tragic events (and crossed paths with other Marvel mutants) pushed their lives in dramatically different directions. Thus far, “X-Men Origins” seems to be based closely on that chapter in the comics history of Marvel’s favorite Canucklehead, with many of the characters who play significant roles in the print series’ over-arching story already cast in the film.

As for how she prepared for the role of Silver Fox, Collins said her male counterparts had a far rougher time of it when it came to getting into character.

“They were all on super-buff diets, and I had pizza most of the time,” said Collins. “They were so jealous of me.”

“I didn’t have to beef up in this movie,” she added. “I just had to wear skimpy clothes.”

Well at least we now know that she is at least PART Native American. So at least they didn't cast a white girl (or a full blooded white girl) to play a Native American.

Yeah - and she has a slightly exotic look to her (around the eyes). I'm fine with the choice, visually. Hopefully her acting is top-notch.

Thought I'd give the Lynn Collins thread some lovin. She's being left out.

Personally, I think she'll do a great job as Fox in this film. Really looking foward to seeing Silver Fox getting killed (I don't mean that in a mean way though) and seeing Wolvie's reaction. I mean, we all know what happens when Wolverine gets angry.

Lynn is a lucky gal for bagging Steven Strait  :(

So can we confirm some things about her character:

I think it's pretty obvious based on the trailers that she is alive. If you notice during the scenes where Wolverine frees all the captive mutants, Silver Fox is with him. So is she part of Stryker's group?

type ''Lynn Collins allure'' in google.

can we post the pic?
