Whatever the title may end up beeing, it CAN'T be **** like "The silent guardian"/"Gotham Knight" or some BS like that. He IS the-dark-knight! It's just dumb to rename that title held by the 2'nd movie and than calling batman something new, instead of the dark knight. Therefor I still think "Shadow of Batman" is one of the best proposed, yet...

Purge of the Dark Knight IS the title Nolan gave it. Nolan basically said that the title has everything to do with the villains intentions and is not a direct reference to the hero - also said that the script is near completed and that they have worked in the appearance of Joker but "from behind the walls." and as more of a prescence than a physical nemesis. And sorry, but after titles like Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, NO ONE in the Nolan camp would let the title for the third movie be Purge of the Dark Knight.

It sounds like what's left after bulimic Batman purges what he had for dinner.
