I've not seen Travesty since he got put on probation. I think that soured him on the place.

Got heated with someone in the BvS forums apparently. Called them insulting name I believe.

It sucks that Trav went through such a situation.
Heated up discussions make it easy to be put into probation.
I'm lucky I wasn't placed in one in my early years here.

Eh, I'm seeing some people in the TDKR thread discussing what they would've done with the film instead. I honestly don't understand that.

I mean, criticizing the film is one thing (even then, I'd personally wouldn't go too deep in it at this point). Discussing what it should have been 4 years after it came out is another.

It's not good living in the past. I think everyone should just move forward, especially now with so many uncertainties ahead.

Save for Bruce needing a knee brace, and John saying "I know who you are, your smile back then was a fake, that's how I know."

Anyone else looking forward to the Wonder Woman movie at least?

Heck yeah. It looks awesome. I hope to God they have a coherent movie and WB doesn't rip it to shreds.

Cautiously so. Been burned three times by the DCEU. Its hard to believe they won't screw up again.

You mean according to this woman. But yeah. Not sure if it's true or just a ******** chick who doesn't work at WB anymore, trying to get even by jumping on this hate bandwagon. Some things she says are true obviously but we don't know if the rest is real or made up.

Wonder Woman trailer looked good but so did Man of Steel. I really hope they don't screw up the first origin film of Wonder Woman.

Anybody's read ASBAR? Thoughts?

I read the first six or seven issues back in the day, I think. It reads bit like Miller's (unintentionally) satirizing himself... Tonally, even visually to some extent, it's a little SS movie, actually.

But as I said, been a long time since I've read it. Jim Lee was in top form, though.

All logic says that I should absolutely hate it, but I loved that run even with it being cut short.

it really works as an elseworlds story for me.

People still talk about what they would change about the Star Wars Prequels almost 20 years later, So why not,

I read 8 issues of the old series.
Did not care to try the new one.

The new one as in the Scott Snyder one that just started? Aside from using the All-Star branding, it's got nothing at all to do with the Miller/Lee run.

I will say yes, that one.
This makes me think of the differences between DC Earth One (pre-CoIE) and DC's Earth-1 (completely different take).

That one's not called ASBAR, just ASB! :argh:

(Haven't read it. Heard good things).

Today's copy of a local newspaper said something about some guy named Jimmy Olsen killed by an alligator after trying to sexually molest it in Florida.
I googled this to see the stuff, and the whole crap was debunked 5 months ago.
