I'm really glad I didn't know he was gay until now, it just goes to show that people are learning that it really isn't a big deal to learn information like this. He's just a dude with a golden voice.

We are pretty fortunate to have Conroy and Hamill still doing the voices for these amazing characters.

Edit: Just scrolled back a page, bitter fanboys were actually resorting to slurs against Conroy for his opinion on Batman killing? That's damn disgusting.

Yep. Conroy is awesome, all the power to him. In regards to his opinion on Batman killing in BvS, I don't disagree with him. BvS Batman was meant to be pushed into the deep end, losing himself in the process. But this discussion and argument has been had many times before.

both of those movies are so far down the list of comic book movies I'd watch again that it doesn't really matter to me.

Well that's the thing, I think this is the first time its ever been reported in the media. He certainly doesn't come across as gay either. I've met him in person at a Comic Con back in 2014. Nicest guy in the world.

But then nobody should care what his sexual orientation is. I like to think that's why its never cropped up til now.

It's absolutely disgusting that some fans were throwing slurs at him. In a way, I'm glad he's gay cause it's a nice mindf*** to any of the homophobes lurking among fandom. But at the same time it sucks that through the power of social media they all have a direct line to Conroy to anonymously say horrible things.

That's what makes it all the more impressive. In terms of people who've portrayed the character in any medium, he just gets it. Having Dini and Timm as your creative guides also helps immensely, but I've never seen someone embrace such an iconic role more than him. Almost 30 years strong and he's still excited to do it.

Conroy's batman was the first exposure I had to the character when I was 3 years old. I just turned 21 last week and my love for his work has only grown over the years. That's something special.

When I read Batman comics, I still read what Batman says in Conroy's voice. Sometimes, when he is yelling at someone, I read it in Bale's .

Honestly if you think about it, I wouldn't be surprised if he has a lot to draw on there from his life experiences to tap into that darker side. It's definitely something special that we've been able to have one actor that's such a mainstay for a character that's been reinterpreted so many times over the years. I'm not as much of a fan of some of his more recent Batman performances, but he has a hell of a legacy when you look back on it all.

And Chip, I just turned 30 a couple of weeks ago. I envy you...enjoy your 20s!!

Yeah, i got a warning because i said only little girls and hardcore fans care about Thor 2. I was just breaking balls. Didn't see it as a big deal. People in the real world do it all the time and it's not the end of the world but i guess here that's not allowed. Maybe that's why the posts got deleted.

I didn't really mean to insult anyone. Tactin Ronin called me a little girl. I wasn't insulted. Not sure he received a warning for it though. I saw this as a relaxed environment where people could maybe tease each other a little bit and crack a few jokes without it being seen as such a big deal. Didn't know the place was so strict. Looking at the amount of threads where some users freely call fanboys and delusional to those who defend movies like BvS, it certainly didn't seem that way to me.
