Hmmm. Is there a significant amount of more Joker/Harley screentime at least?

Truly awful. I cannot believe we went from an Academy Award performance to this. Poor Joker :funny:

^ LOL. The toad's tongue looks more menacing than Letoker's.

What is your point there? Letoker's tongue is just a human tongue :funny:

My point is the toad is just being a toad sticking it's tongue out, whereas Letoker is trying to be all crazy and creepy with his waggling tongue action.

Capisce?

Sadly, some of the extended Joker scenes that I have seen are cringe-inducing, just like the scenes in the movie. I guess this will make him even worse, because now his scenes will be longer. Shame on me for getting so excited about Leto's Joker. There are some great actors and actresses out there that just do not suit superhero movies. It is like they think you have to be as over-the-top as possible when you are in them.

He's just having some fun. Are we gonna **** on everything the guy does now?

You think Leto was miscast?

This doesn't surprise me. If your performance is good enough, it will still shine through with limited screentime. For example, Marlon Brando as colonel Kurtz in Apocaypse Now.

If you are mediocre, you are mediocre in two minutes or twenty.

Maybe. I think he is a very good actor, but I find his scenes in the movie to be difficult to watch. His Joker seems like someone who is trying to act as crazy as possible, rather than someone who is crazy. Perhaps with a stronger script and a different director, he would be better. After that performance, I am starting to doubt the character can be salvaged though, unfortunately. It would be quite the turnaround for him to go from that performance to one that is ok and watchable, let alone great IMO. It is hard to imagine him playing the character completely differently.

Isn't this Leto joking around behind the scenes or something? Looks like green screen behind him.

Edit: Nvm, saw Greens comment.

I would like to see the unedited version of the scene where the Joker gets the thug to kill himself. Perhaps it would have something to get my hopes up for the future, but sadly, probably not.

Nine times out of ten it's usually the fault of the direction and writing, rather than the actors. There's some exceptions e.g. Jesse Eisenberg as Luthor.

I totally agree with your critique of his acting. It came off as a guy trying too hard to be crazy, and played out like a bad Jim Carey impression. But maybe that's the way Ayer and the script told him to do it.

I want to give Leto the benefit of the doubt because he's a great actor, and his casting was met with universal praise because people knew he had the capability to be good. But when you're saddled with idiots at the helm, you can't flourish no matter how talented you are.

Me too. As it stands, the scene is chipped to bits and doesn't even make sense by the end.

That's the speciality of the DCEU. Not making sense.

Where can i watch this damn thing. Without paying of course lol.

So much for the extended edition ''saving'' Leto's Joker. A complete shambles from start to finish.

Leto was surrounded by mediocrity in every facet of the production, and even made some questionable choices himself along the way. Without a doubt, the worst live action Joker and seriously competing for one of the worst adaptations overall.

I'd like to say I saw a worst fan made adaption on YouTube, but I can't.
