If there is even a glimmer of backlash against the stripper angle, it would only prove to the rest of the world how utterly insecure and stuck-up Americans are about sexuality. This movie is following on the heels of a mass-murdering clown. Whether gratuitous violence was displayed or not, the fact is it dealt with very dark themes, actions, and messages. That movie did a billion dollars.
If I am to believe that a woman who decides to exploit her sexuality for personal monetary benefit, is worse on any scale of morality, I will be convinced I'm living in a backwards world.
I very much hope this rumor is true, because it's about time a mainstream product dares to question misaligned moral judgments.
I like the costume from the neck down and with the mask added I think its gonna look even better. Without the mask its kinda underwhelming for me . Ulitmately , I'm still seeing the film.

Clarify please: by "mask" do you mean "cowl?" Because I'm pretty sure she has a domino mask on under those goggles.

Video included. She said this is just 1/10th of what the suit can do.

I love that there's an obvious throwback to Julie Newmar's Catwoman. And even if she does end up with a cowl by the end of the movie, I love that there's a little bit of the domino mask feel in there. A nod to the history of the character.

I saw Anne's interview on the suit, GOD she's just so charming, and I'm glad to know she thinks I have "excellent taste" I think that, even though the costume wouldn't be even a 70% accurate to Catwoman's popular iconography, what builds the characters in this franchise, specially in Nolan's take on it, is their interpretation, story and acting, I'd rather have a good story and a great actress pulling of a tremendous "larger than life" Catwoman, with a pair of goggles and no ears, than a crappy one with them. I mean, (in my ideology and thoughts, I'm not trying to convince you of my ideas) Halle Berry wore ears, and she was clearly NOT Catwoman.

Domino mask still doesn't make sense to me no matter which way I look at it. Either Nolan's gone '**** it, it's a movie, it's enough of a disguise', which is pretty much counter to everything else before or it's not meant to be a disguise which begs the question why not just go with a more cat like route if it's not an issue? Find out soon enough, hopefully there's more to this than meets the eye.
Did you have a problem with Wolverine's lack of a costume in the X Men films ?
I mean seriously he has n o costume but yet no one seemed to scrutinize him because his performance wassuperb . Same thing will occur here imo.

I think there's a difference in that Wolverine still looks distinctly like Wolverine even without his spandex costume. Though I would love to see a movie with it and that would make Jackman's Wolverine just that much more cool.
Catwoman, on the other hand, simply doesn't look like Catwoman without a distinct cat theme. Even with this suit as we've seen thus far evoking Julie Newmar, even Newmar, Kitten and Merriweather all wore cat ears in their hair. It wasn't just the domino mask and the ears were there even when they weren't wearing the masks.
As I've said previously, the simple fact that Selina puts on a cowl is a defining character trait for her. Modern comic Selina was inspired by Batman to do so, and it started as a means to strike back at her community's exploiters. Which included theft and harsher fighting than Batman, and getting in his way in his fight with Falcone.
wolverine needs facial hair, haircut and the claws. and he is wolverine. catowman needs a bodysuit and at least a mask that has obvious ears or a cowl that looks like it has ears.
Neither is Catwoman . Considering her costume has changed so many times over the years .wolverine is not defined by his costume IMO
