But if the goggles have night-vision is not that a cat-trait? Zomg!

We have a source which says she'll wear a cowl at some point in the movie.
And then we have Anne saying we've only seen a 10th of what the suit can do. Does it look like that suit is fully equipped with a barrage of tech gear? Doesn't it make sense that she's not-so-subtly saying that she'll be wearing a cat mask or cowl? She's directly addressing the fan's concerns here....
Odds are good that this isn't the completed costume. I'll start complaining once I hear better confirmation that this is all we're getting.
At first glance, it didn't make sense for them to release a blurred picture of the Joker in a suit that isn't purple, either. But they did. That was one of our first looks at him, before we knew he'd be wearing a purple suit. Catwoman is definitely comparable to the Joker in this film because she's the one they've been doing their damndest to keep secret, and she's also the iconic character in this movie. While I realise they may have been concious of beating the spys, it doesn't make sense to me to release a photo of her unless it is the full costume.
She is wearing a utility belt in the shots so presumably she has tricks up her sleeve.

Why actually give it all away (if there is more to give)?
Good post, sir.At first glance, it didn't make sense for them to release a blurred picture of the Joker in a suit that isn't purple, either. But they did. The only reason they released the picture that they did is because they knew the paparazzi would get shots of her, anyway. They're probably going to release more images of her in the future, but what would really be the point if we've already seen all there is to see of her? They aren't trying to hide anything about Bane. They've had him in the trailer, have him out in the open to let people snap pictures of him left and right, etc. We just have that handful of pictures of Catwoman riding the batpod and that's it. We're only seeing what they want us to see.
Why are we assuming there is more to giveaway?

Because Hathaway stated that what was seen is only 1/10th of what the suit can do.
By way of function. It would be reasonable to infer it only applies to what can already be seen. There's nothing to assume that there will be more to the suit's aesthetics.Because Hathaway stated that what was seen is only 1/10th of what the suit can do.

Considering she stated what she stated in response to the people's reaction to the aesthetics of the suit... I'm willing to infer that she also means there's more to it visually.
I love that there's an obvious throwback to Julie Newmar's Catwoman. And even if she does end up with a cowl by the end of the movie, I love that there's a little bit of the domino mask feel in there. A nod to the history of the character.
We just don't know.
But aesthetics don't "do..."
Yes, she is not a doe-eyed virgin, its ok to objectify her, ogle her, or tell her to kiss her friend.

We know her statement was in regards to the "meh" reaction, which could be anything. It's akin to the "wait until you watch the movie" advice. It doesn't necessarily directly address the problems people have. We could have a great movie and an excellent performance; but that would just be pleasant distractions. Not a solution.Considering she stated what she stated in response to the people's reaction to the aesthetics of the suit... I'm willing to infer that she also means there's more to it visually.
Thanks!Good post, sir.
I understand why people feel the way they do about the image of the catsuit, but really, this is a song and dance number they've put us through before. I think if more people remembered that, there would be less panic/disappointment.
Yep, but we really have no evidence that they aren't doing the same thing with Catwoman. If anything, the evidence seems to suggest that they are. Just because it's a clear picture in a well lit corridor doesn't mean that they aren't hiding things about her.It struck me that the first images of the Joker were vague so as to intentionally hold information back - and were obviously so.
Such as this one here -

I am definitely assuming that perhaps function and aesthetics are tied together for CW, just like with Batman.
I agree, but I also think that she said all that she was allowed to say. If she'd been that direct about it, it would have been little different than saying, "Oh, don't worry. It does have cat ears." Nolan/WB would crucify her over it. She's trying to please both parties by giving a very vague reassurance. If she had something along the lines of "you haven't seen the whole suit", then we'd have a lot more to go on. As it stands, the only reference was to function. So I'll take her word for it.
the paparazii shots gave us a better and more clear view of the suit and googles. which is funny. At first glance, it didn't make sense for them to release a blurred picture of the Joker in a suit that isn't purple, either.
