Any updates?
Who are you talking to Kang?
In re: to someone eating crow.
I can't wait for Japan. You're only going to be eating (rather delicious) crow when Avengers clears $100 M in Japan with ease.
Probably Combocaz the person who predicted TA would only make $300 mill, lol j/k!

hehe...that's not as tragic as the one poster i remember from the old SR forum.
A hardcore Supes fan, he defended every little things about the movie before it came out. he even threatened me because i thought the trailer looks boring and i didn't get the 'messiah' feel from it.
Anyway, when the rumor started that the kid might be Superman's, he deny and deny and at one point told everybody that if the kid indeed turned out to be Superman's kid, he'll eat his copy of a famous superman comic...live on webcam!
Needless to say, once the movie came out, he dissapeared from the Hype.

I'm guessing something around $3.28 million for Monday-Thursday, which means Avengers could hit $590 million by Friday, and looking at $600 million by the time June is finished!
Needless to say, once the movie came out, he dissapeared from the Hype.

I can't poke fun at him. I voted for 500 million worldwide which in hindsight looks ridiculous but I just wanted to be conservative and thought the movie would do around the same as the other Marvel films.
I voted for $1 billion, but predicted $1.1B in the first part of this thread. (Big difference, hey?)
How I and others were mocked by the doomsayers (and one in particular) for months, told we were looking at The Avengers prospects like delusional fanboys (even if female). "You people should be happy with $700 million! That's more than Iron Man 2!" "It isn't an event film and doesn't have any appeal for the GA." "With no big stars and a bunch of second and third-rate heroes, it won't take off." Some days I rolled my eyes so many times reading this thread I thought they were going to get stuck back in my head.
With The Avengers sitting at $1.4 billion worldwide and just shy of $600 million domestic, I feel thoroughly vindicated. Unsurprisingly, the low-ballers are long gone.

I has predicted a conservative $850 mil and boy am i glad i was way off.
I'm so glad this has made bank. I hope Spider-Man can clean up too. Not too concerned with Batman, its the last one anyway.
Sometime today TA will have passed TDK for 28th on the all time adjusted domestic list, making TA the highest grossing comic Book Movie in EVERYTHING...wow!
