They better be using the oval!!![]()
Only if they use grey and blue, I think the oval looks out of place on grey and black.

Needlessly dismissive? Probably. But I have to say that I absolutely agree with him, we haven't had a really great Batsuit yet, some of them were pretty cool but prevented the actor from turning their head, and were afraid of colors that weren't black, and when they finally trumped the head turning issue we got a costume that looked like a jigsaw puzzle.![]()

Because grey tights are inherently more frightening and menacing to criminals.![]()

Only because we have never had a proper Batsuit. This forum has always been divided between those who really want to see a proper Batsuit, and those who just like whatever a movie studio gives them at the time.

Maybe that's why Nolan went with the puzzle pieces?![]()

Yup that's it. You're the only true fan. Everyone else just sucks.![]()
Having preferences is one thing, but making it out like people who didn't mind the previous suits are filthy casuals who aren't "big enough" fans is a bit rich.

Your statement doesn't really work, since I spoke of a polarization of opinion here.
I agree, which is probably why I didn't say any of the things that you have just misascribed to me, and why the words you have inserted into " " did not appear in my post at all.
Yeah. It's just about texture. The suit obviously can't just be a flat two dimensional thing that's colored exactly as you see in the comics. Something in live action is automatically going to have more texture and detail, even if it's being more faithful to the comics. Hard decisions have to be made about the materials for each piece of the suit.
To me, the whole "Nolan realism" thing has gotten blown out of proportion. In a sense, the whole point behind even putting a comic book character on the big screen is to make it feel more "real", more life-like. So any movie version is going to have a certain amount of realism. Nolan just injected it back into the franchise at a time where it really needed it because it had gone too far off the rails in the other direction.

haha, agreed. But yeah, it's sweetness for sure.
Here's another Cap-less, scruffled Batfleck. Similar to the one I posted before logging off last night.

Etc. Etc.

^to BatLobsterRises and DeadPresident - if I may add my two cents in...I think all regwec was saying was that there are some posters that are more passionate about seeing a comic-faithful, "proper" suit (meaning what we're use to seeing in the comics for years and years) and those that don't care all that much and just accept what suit is shown in the film - for better or for worse.
